A good strategy I Recommend to get the best of your APEE or EE entry

Hello, I have experienced APEE on the day of July 1st, 2012.

I want to share my experience with you. So by 6:45 we got to booth 3 to get our wristbands, they will scan your AP or ticket. Then by 7:00AM we entered, and of course everyone was rushing to Carsland.

Now this is what I really recommend for anyone doing APEE or EE.

1) Ride Luigi's flying tires FIRST, there is absolutely no line, and its really not worth more than 15 mins to wait for. There can be a random breakdown in the morning like others have said. But we got to ride it twice because it broke down in the middle of the ride.

2) Ride Mater's Junkyard Jamboree SECOND, there is also absolutely NO LINE here at all. You can even ride it twice if you'd like or ride Luigi's twice.

*I highly recommend to not wait standby for RSR, because so far from opening to this month, it has not been opening on time according to several CM's. It did however open at 7:40AM with a 60 min wait already.

3) Take the time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Radiator Springs. Take some shots with Big Red (No lines at all). Also Lighting McQueen and Mater (Very minimal waits, compared to the day).

4) If you do not want to walk very far, I would highly recommened riding Tower of Terror (Absolutely no lines at all). We rode it twice, once with 4 people on it including my party of 3. And the second time we rode it just to ourselves.

5) By the time you have done all this, the time will be almost 8:00AM opening. This is where I recommend to line up for RSR fastpasses! The walk is not too far because Tower of Terror is REALLY close to the RSR fastpass lines that have been lined up next to the Animation Academy. FP wait time was about 35 mins.

6) Once you officially get your FP for Carsland do whatever you wish :) But lines for Carsland will hit 30mins or plus once DCA opens (Except RSR which would be about 2 hours)

*By the time I got my FP it was 8:35AM, with a return time of 1:15-2:15PM. (I was pretty shocked because the return time was sooo early. I was expecting it to be later at night)

*Do I recommend FP'S? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT :) Because the wait for once we entered the FP line for RSR was only 10 MINS!!! We were all ready to ride with the whole group and at the same car with such a minimal wait, so this is a good strategy I recommend for everyone to get the most of their APEE, EE Entry :) Good luck! :goodvibes

Thanks for your advice.

Just curious, did everyone head straight to RSS? Is that why the other's were so short? How long was the line when you left CL?

Thanks again :)

Yes indeed! Everyone was heading straight to RSR, when we got to Carsland we we saw the line already forming outside the queue and past Luigi's :(

There was good news however! A CM told me that this was the first day ever that the Cars were actually testing quite early since opening, which probably explains the reason why RSR opened around 7:40AM instead of 9 AM that day :)
