Hello Everyone :wave2:

I have naturally fuzzy hair and have to straighten it every other day to get it to look smooth, its never straight but looks tidier

When I went to Disney last year I took my hair straugtners with me and it was no use, my hair was just so frizzy, it looks bad. So I had my hair in plates for the rest of the holiday to make it manageable…just!

So…what I am trying to get to is has anyone been to Disney and managed to keep their hair under control?

If so how as I need your tips!

Cheers for reading

You won't be able to keep it straight, the humidity will play havoc with it. I suggest you plait it again or out it in a clip.

If it is long enough, tie it back.

If it is too short, then - during the day - stick it under a cap/hat like I do... :cool1:

How about one of the products that encourages curl? Could you wash it, apply lots of gel and proudly wear your curls? :sunny:

I usually wear my hair curly when in FL and if I do take the time to straighten it, I end up pulling it up as soon as it gets warm. Come to think of it, I pull it up in a ponytail most days in FL. Unless it is winter time and the humidity is down...pull it back or braid it is the best advice!

I always take my GHDs with me and use them mostly everyday. I can't say that it actually makes any difference. Tie it back, tie it up, plait it for during the day. At night I will straighten it again and it is usually quite presentable.

had the same problem with the head on beer found if you drink it quick dosent go flat :rotfl2:

hi

i straighten mine very day when im at home with ghds. when i go to florida i tie it back for the main reason that i dont want to waste precious park time! plus there is no one there that i know and its pretty casual too. dont worry about your hair while your there. no one will be looking at it anyway theyll all be looking at the wonderous sights. there are some good products for frizz to tame your hair if you wanted it flatter and smoother. have a look in boots.

You could always use a grade 1 on the clippers!! :rotfl2:

I don't really straighten my hair, but my friend has real problems with hers , and she'll either frech plait it or braid it :)

I get mine cut really short just before I go, it then always looks great and I don't have to do anything with it when I'm leaving TL and going on to a park! It grows again and in better condition than before.

:) Hi there!

I too have quite frizzy/curly hair and it used to be a nightmare trying to keep it straight! If you are intending to visit Florida again in the future then i would recommend you buy a pair of straighteners while you are there because even GHD's (which work brilliantly over here) don't heat up enough over there to straighten really curly/frizzy hair. But i would only use straighteners for a special evening out (ie. when it's cooler) because even if you use lots of serum and leave in conditioner it WILL go curly again! :scared: I saw a great pair of straighteners in a store in Premium Outlets in Dec last year and i wish i'd bought them then :) . I cant remember the name of it but it sells discounted hair products and i always buy stuff from there. I'd also recomend buying Toni and Guy serum (you can get in Boots) and always apply it to your hair whilst damp before you style it and put a drop on after styling as this helps keep the hair smoother.

Hope this helps

Hi everyone

Thanks for the tips, I think I will have to just accept that my hair will be frizzy, i'm sure Stitch and Mickey won't mind :rotfl2:

Cheers again :thumbsup2

Tie it back!

I have thick hair and it does frizz easily so ghd's are a must if I wear it down but on holiday I just cant be bothered and I always tie it back anyway so why waste time!

I have thick hair too, and itsgetting long lol past my shoulder blades, I am having it cut a bit shorter before I go but I will pull it back in a pony tail every day, as my ghds didnt work at all in the usa last year, and so I wont be taking them as it would be a wastes of shopping space

I usually just tie my hair back during the day, and then try and do something better with it if we go out in the evening. Most of the time though, I don't bother with anything much while I'm away!!

I have my hair chemically straightened its not cheap but at home it lets me have an extra half hour in bed (5am to rise is quite early enough) On holiday in florida it is great my hair remains shiny, straight and unfrizzy.

I haven't seen all my hair curly for years when I leave it longer to give it a rest and I have to start working harder to keep it neat thats when I start grumbling.
