A "French Fry Party".....

<sigh!> I remember when McDonald's used to fry their fries in beef fat. They were so good! :faint: Other than that, they are still my favorite fries. I like them nice & thin. The thick ones have too much middle to them. :p

I like mine with salt & lots of ketchup.

Yeah, what is the deal with fast food french fries these days? What are they cooking the fries in? They seem crispier but not as tasty.

I love those Belgian pommes frites stands. Those are thick cut fries that were fried TWICE and come with all sorts of toppings from cheese and gravy to exotic sauces like Thai satay.

mmmmmmmmm fries and tots....having lived in Idaho for much of my life I love fries and tots. I usually have seasoned curly fries with ranch but I also LOVE skinny crispy fries in BBQ sauce....YUM!!!! And I make fry sauce too...I should market it.....

shoestrings and o-rings with ketchup

steak fries or chips with ketchup and malt vinegar

I just started making my own "healthier" baked version from a recipe from Hannaford (that I tweaked slightly) that are awesome.

2 lb Russet potatoes
2 Tbs Garlic Oil
1/2 tsp Black pepper, ground
1/4 tsp season all salt
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Cumin

1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Spray a baking
sheet with vegetable cooking spray.

2. Scrub potatoes very well and pat dry.
Cut each potato lengthwise into 10 thin
wedges. Place wedges in single layer
on cooking sheet

3. Mix all dry ingredients in oil and brush
over the potatoes making sure that every
wedge is coated with oil.

4. Bake 15 minutes; flip fries over and return
to oven for 15 more minutes, or until golden.
Serve hot.

thats my kind of party! french fries are, and will always be my favorite food. ever since i was a baby. i love all shapes and sizes, and i've never met a potato i didn't like.

and to the poster who asked, i BELIEVE that all mcdonalds fries are made in vegetable oil. i don't think its peanut because of the extreme peanut allergies. :confused3

how the heck are they going to cook and serve all of those fries and have them still be fresh/hot?

cold fries are gross

I like waffle fries w/ Red Robin seasoning on them.

Fry sauce, I make my own. In high school I worked at Arctic Circle so I learned how to make good fry sauce.

I like tarter sauce on my onion rings.

I have never had malt vinegar on my fries.

I worked at a potato plant for 11 years, we made those fries.
The beef oil smell is wretched!! I am so glad they changed the oil after Mad Cow disease.

 Are you allowed to share? I've tried mayo, katsup, and seasoning salt - but nothing ever tastes as good as Arctic Circle fry sauce!

I love when birthday parties are unique to the child and a french fry party is an awesome idea!

ohhhhh Arctic Circle....I remember AC......but the best fry sauce was from a local place. When I go home to visit I always have to get fries there, just for the fry sauce. :)

Hmmmm, I wonder if I know the name of the potato plant you worked at. That would be interesting......my DD21s DBF works there now actually.....LOL

I love Fries, but I have a very good DIS friend who got banned over them.:sad1:

I'll still take curly fries with Old Bay & Vinegar though!!!

I think a French Fry Party is a great idea! Birthday party food is never healthy anyway!!!

The one and only thing for fries:

It's not Thousand Island dressing, nor is it just ketchup and mayo mixed. It's much, much, more. Once you go fry sauce, you won't go back to anything else. Ever. :woohoo: popcorn::

I'm intrigued! I wish I could get some of this here in Florida! I looked at their website and it looks like its only sold in Utah.

I hope the party will also be serving some kind of protein to go with all those fries, like hamburger patties. Otherwise, everyone is going to get really sleepy from all the carbs.

Ketchup, mayo & buttermilk.
The first time I made it when I worked there I was soooo disgusted!
But it is pretty darn good sauce.

There are quite a few Company's that make Mc Donalds fries.
But I worked at Simplot. The plant I worked at now only produces export Mac fries & domestic Wendy's.
Did you know that TJ Farms and Lynden farms is just out of grade Mac fries?
