Hello friends!

I'm finally back home. :sad1: So what better way to relive my trip than a TR? :goodvibes

Firstly we'd like to say "Hello! Welcome!" :upsidedow

And by we, I mean us:

On the left is my new husband, Gary. He's a very laid back kind of guy. No plans, just wing it type of person.

I'm a planner. I like to know where I'm going to be, what I'll be eating and doing. I like to know where the best place is and make sure everyone is having a great time. And I usually do a pretty good job about it, until mother nature rears her head at me and I go cry in the shower. More about that later.

We got married on our four year anniversary, April 1st, 2011. Back home, in Oklahoma. Immediately after the ceremony, we ran home to drop off the dress and cards, and hopped in the car. See:

I didn't even take down my hair. :rotfl:

So we drove and drove and drove. Usually taking turns, though I was stuck with the night driving because I'm not nightblind like Gary is.

We arrived at 4:30 am. Oi. I figured my room wouldn't be ready, so we were prepared to freshen up in the bathroom and change. But we still needed to get our KTTW, so we went to check in.

Mike was amazing. Not only was he super nice and sweet, our room was...

READY!
:scared1::scared1::scared1:

I couldn't believe it. And we had a nice waterview room. Awesomeness! And in all of this I forgot to get a picture of the view.

Oh well. Here's some CSR prettiness in case you don't know or haven't seen it yet:

My side of the bed.

So all checked in, we decided to go to Magic Kingdom. Even without proper sleep, we were just too excited to not jump right in! Had I more sleep I'm sure I would have taken more pictures. :sad2: But that's okay, I got awesome food pics! Also, my ADRs got all screwed up due to sickness and heat and general unpleasantness, but it turned out ok.

Magic Kingdom, coming up!

Day 1: Magic Kingdom, Crystal Palace (B), Tony's Town Square (D)
Day 2: Pepper Market (L), Hollywood Studios, Kouzzina (D)
Day 3: 1900 Park Faire (B), DTD and La Nouba, Raglan Road (L), Yachtman Steakhouse (D)

Congratulations on your new marriage. I'm looking forward to reading your report.

You got married on my birthday :goodvibes so of course I must read along with your report!! :cool1:

I'm having trouble seeing your pictures, hopefully its just on my end!

Congratulations on your marriage! What a great way to start your honeymoon :goodvibes I can't see your pics either - just little red x's :confused3

Congratulations!
You really lucked out with the room being ready. That alone is some serious pixie dust!

I fixed the pics! ^_^ Anyone know how to resize them? They're kinda huge. :rolleyes1

Thanks guys! I'm so happy to have readers! I'm working on my MK post. :goodvibes

So here we were, super happy to be at the most magical place on Earth.

We got ready, took down my hair (wow bobby pins!), and after a 26 hour time in the car (we pulled over to nap) boy did we need showers. We were sooo happy to get ready. We even made rope drop!

If you've never made rope drop before, I really suggest you go at least once. It was so fun. You can just feel the excitement in the air. I think we were both tearing up at the end! Seeing how excited the kids were, we can't wait to take our little man with us! We're even planning to go to DisneyLand soon just because we want to take him. (And by soon, I mean 2012~2013)

IMG_0119.jpg

When we got there, there weren't very many people at all!

IMG_0133.jpg

That quickly changed.

IMG_0141.jpg

The crew. Man, this was so cool.

For it being April, there really wasn't a WHOLE lot of people there, not really until we left. We got some beautiful castle shots, and the weather was simply amazing.

IMG_0146.jpg

Our first stop was Le Chappeau! I simply had to get some ears. And hubby needed a hat. There was only one that even slightly fit his big dang head.

IMG_0150.jpg

And since he loves PoTC, it was fine. Every time our son sees it he says "Pirate Daddy!" Hehe. I got the bridal ears with the ridiculously long veil. I took care of that later. :goodvibes

We went to check in a Crystal Palace and ate, then went to PoTC and it was a walk on! Woo hoo!

The dip in the beginning startled hubby. He has a thing against rides... he was originally going to try to ride them with me, but PoTC scared him off. *sigh* He bounced and landed on his man bits, so he right away didn't want to ride anthing else.

Haunted Mansion was a walk on too, if you wanted to avoid the interactive que and go to the left. Which we did. No pics though, I was to busy soaking it all in.

We did take a few of FantasyLand...
IMG_0189.jpg

IMG_0188.jpg

And Hubby tried to pull out the sword. There was't a sneaky CM by, so I knew it wouldn't release, but he didn't.
IMG_0190.jpg

We rode most of these at night, because it was the evening EMH that night. (We ended up leaving around 1 am)
IMG_0191.jpg

In Tomorrowland they were having a really fun party... I wanted to dance with Stitch, but I didn't want to look silly. :sad1: I totally should have. Chip and Dale were both there, so I tried to get a few shots.
IMG_0195.jpg

IMG_0194.jpg

We also ran into...
IMG_0198.jpg

PUSH! How cool is that? Watching the kids interact with him was too funny. They just didn't know what on Earth to think about him.

And some topiaries!
IMG_0204.jpg

IMG_0208.jpg

We walked around, bought a ton of pins, (Hubs decided he really, really, REALLY loved pin trading) ate at Tony's (one day I'll see Spectromagic) and saw Wishes. We got some cute photopass pictures of the castle at night... When I get my CD I can put them on here.

We rode:
Peter Pan - I liked it, Gary was unnerved by it. He doesn't like suspension rides.
It's a Small World - I wanted to not like it. But the glitter won me over. And thinking to myself what the borderline is between cultrally respective and downright racist. But it's glittery.
Snow White's Scary Adventure - We had to ride it because it wasn't going to be there! It was ok, Gary thought it was too jerky.
Buzz Space Ranger Spin - Gary LOVED this one, even though I beat him. He had fun spinning it around.
Haunted Mansion - Gary's favorite. I think it was really cool, and wonder how they did it all.
Pirates of the Carribean - This was neat. I liked that they updated it to include Jack, and Jack looks the best out of all the pirates (probably cause he's like 35 years younger).
PhilharMagic - This so much more adorable than I expected. I really, really liked it. Best 3D effects, and I think probably the best 3D show at WDW.
Frontierland Shootin Arcade - It was fun, but my gun didn't work at first, and it shot waaaay more than 35 times. We finally just stopped and walked away.
Mad Tea Party - We had to wait after boarding because some poor kid got his knee stuck in the bars... I almost got out of my Tea Cup and smacked the kids one cup over. They were cat calling the little boy and being obnoxious. >.< I was getting pretty angry. The ride was fun, Gary didn't let me spin it crazy fast like he said I could. :(

Overall, Magic Kingdom was wonderful. It made me miss my kid more than anything. We didn't ride Dumbo cause we wanted to ride together, and it didn't look like it would have been possible. Gary didn't want to ride alone. Oh well. What matters is we had fun!

I love the picture of your hubby trying to get the sword out, too funny!! I love rope drop show...gives me goosebumps!!

So for breakfast that morning we had Crystal Palace. And I tell you, after 24 hours of road food, boy were we happy to eat something real!!

Aaaand I forgot to take pictures of our plates. Ugh. But the potatoe casserole was delicious. And the hot tea was great!
IMG_0159.jpg

IMG_0161.jpg

IMG_0157.jpg

IMG_0165.jpg

And we got a card signed by them all. Too cute!
IMG_0169.jpg

And where else can this happen?
IMG_0176.jpg

IMG_0177.jpg

It was delicious. Can't remember how much it was, but really wasn't that bad. Since we were on the meal plan, we only had to worry about tipping. Next up is Tony's Town Square!

I almost forgot this silly one. We sent this to my Mother In Law and she didn't believe we were already here. Really? Where else would we have gotten our ears? LOL.
IMG_1176.jpg

So anywho, we went to Tony's Town Square for dinner that night. No lunch, which I should have planned in because our ADRs went downhill but we're getting to that eventually.

They decorated our table!!

IMG_1191.jpg

It's the little things that make it.

For our appetizers we got the calamari and the zuchini fries.
IMG_1192.jpg

IMG_1198.jpg

The calamari was excellent. Not very chewy! Here in Oklahoma it's usually served with a peppercorn sauce in addition to the marinara, but even sans peppercorn it's really good.

The zucchini fries were really good too! I don't even like zucchini! The outsides were very crisp and the zucchini was molten. The sauce was just perfect along with it, it reminded me of the onion ring sauce at Burger King.

For our entrees, Gary got the Pork Masala (or at least, that's what it turned out to be. I don't remember what it was called, lol.)
I got the seasonal gnocchi.

IMG_1202.jpg

The pork was very tender and yummy. I'm not a big mushroom fan, but it was amazing.
IMG_1204.jpg

This was good. Not the best thing I ate while there, but good. It was spinach and sundried tomatoes, and had a leek cream sauce. I ate about half of it.

For dessert Gary had the creme brulee, and I had the tiramisu. I was looking forward to this so much! And was sadly disappointed.
IMG_1208.jpg

Gary said it was wonderful. I don't see the appeal of it, but it was alright. Probably better than my tiramisu.

IMG_1210.jpg

I was impressed by the plate art. But really. Look at that. What tiramisu looks like that?! It was like it started life as a tiramisu and then someone just scooped it all up and plopped it on a plate. Sigh. I was pretty upset about the butchering of my favorite dessert of all time.

And a view of the fountain in there.
IMG_1215.jpg

Overall it was good, and we'd probably eat there again for lack of restaurants in Magic Kingdom. Gary seemed to like not having to use transportation to go to the restaurant. (I'd later learn it's kind of a pain in the butt to do otherwise!!)

I think I saw you on your first day. Not to many people have on the Wedding veil ears and I always take notice. Saturday was beautiful.

Enjoying your TR, Congratulations to y'all.....

Thank you! I'm having fun writing it, I just wish I knew how to make links to posts and make my pics smaller. But if ya'll don't mind it, then I guess I won't worry too much. ^_^

Maybe! :goodvibes Our first day was Sunday April 3rd. I was surprised how many congratulations I got walking around, by people who weren't CMs! It was so awesome. I only saw one other bride in ears while I was there! I guess not too many decide to run around in them.

I love reading your TR!! Congrats!!!!

My fiance and I are getting married at the end of May and going to DW on the 5th of June. Until then... I am living vicariously through you! :lovestruc

Hey, we'll be at the BW the same time as you! We arrive June 5 also!! :cool1:

OP: DH and I also stayed at CSR on our honeymoon in September 2009!! Can't wait to read more of your TR!! Oh, and I also got the Minnie ears with the veil and wore them the entire time.... we got lots of "congrats" too! And it sounds like your DH has the same problem as mine... none of the hats fit his big noggin either! ;)

Hi! Just wanted to say I'll be following along. You're doing a good job!

First - I cannot believe you drove for 26 hours straight!...and right after your wedding! Kuddos to you but I don't think I could ever do it. We were exhausted after ours.

Also, we did Tony's last May and my tiramisu looked the exact same. I was thoroughly disappointed too. I had had the same dessert in March 08 (our honeymoon too!) and it was excellent. Sometime between those two years it changed. I don't know about you but I thought overall it was much closer to tiramisu flavored pudding. I don't think I had a ladyfinger in my whole serving!

Congratulations to both of you! I love love love your pics!

Your hubby could be my oldest son's twin ;) Your dinner at Tony's looks yummy (I loved the artwork on the plate but your dessert looks scrambled! Bet it was tasty tho). We tried to eat there on our last visit but didn't have ressies and the 3 sons that went w/me (DS 28, DS24, & DS17) didn't want to hang out at MK for very long :sad2:

I have to comment on your report. I was reading along and when you got to talking about the dance party, I started wondering if you were there the same day we were. Then I saw the second picture!
I am in the middle of your second picture of the dance party in Tomorrowland. To the left of Stitch. My husband is to the left of me. It couldn't have been any better centered if you were actually taking a picture of me. That is so funny!!
