Back from 8 days at WDW - had FREE dining plan - saved about $1500. For what it's worth, here are my reviews:
Stayed at CSR - used most of our counter service credits at Pepper Market. Good food, quick service - a bit hectic - don't go there if looking for some quiet time. Convenient.
Chef Mickey's - 2 experiences there - once for breakfast, once for dinner. Both times, characters were great - alot of fun. Food was good and plentiful but nothing to really write home about. For our breakfast experience, we were seated behing a pillar, and had no view of all the activity - dinner location was much better. Chip is the best!!!
Maya Grill at CSR - Fantastic steaks and shrimp. Classy theme, wonderful service. Recommend it even if you're not staying at CSR - make the trip.
ESPN Club - Boardwalk - Holy cow we got alot of food!!! Very good - hectic and noisy, but it's what you would expect. Wonderful burgers.
Le Cellier - EPCOT -Canada: Wonderful. Steak was perfect - Creme Brulee for dessert was the best I've ever had. Atmoshere was very classy, but I thought the tables were a little to close together.
50's prime Time Cafe - MGM - Food was OK - not great. My son couldn't even finish the Chicken and ham dish (it was "gross"). Electric Ice Cubes are cool. Atmosphere was great - especially after they brought my youngest his green beans topped with whipped cream. Alot of fun, but we probably won't go back.
Saved the best for last - Whispering Canyon at WL - Best food I had. I had the BBQ Skillet -all you can eat. Sausage and pulled pork were fantastic. Drinks and dessert were unbeatable. Aside from the food, the atmosphere was great - so much fun. Loud, but we expected that. Would definetly go back. By the way, my wife refused to ask for ketchup, even though she wanted some (if you know Whisperin Canyon, you know why).
If anyone has any specific questions on any of these restayrants, feel free to drop me a line.
