We are not DVC members, but we are staying in three DVC resorts on our next trip. We are renting points from a member for a 5 night stay at the WL villas and we have three nights each at BWV and Saratoga Springs that we were able to get throuh CRO with an AP discount. We can't wait! We're also taking the DVC tour while we are at Saratoga Springs, so we may be members before long!

We have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and Boardwalk before, but I have a few questions about Saratoga Springs.

First, does anyone have any reccomendations as far as requests go for a one bedroom villa? What should I ask for? We're probably going to be spending a lot of time at the main pool, so we'd like to be close to that, if possible.

Also, as far as getting to Downtown Disney, do you reccomend walking or taking the boat? What is the boat schedule like and how long does the ride take? How long is the walk? Is there a separate walkway if you are going to the West Side instead of the Market Place?

I'd also like to hear your thoughts on any special little things we should take time to do or see while at Saratoga Springs. Our three nights there are at the end of our trip and we won't be doing any parks - just enjoying the resort, shopping at Downtown Disney, etc.

Thanks so much!

May I ask what the AP rate at SSR was please? We toyed with the idea of paying cash for Friday night but then decided to just stay with friends so I never made the call to inquire.

Thanks!

$250/night for a one bedroom Dec. 17th-20th. Hope that helps!

All 4 buildings that are open are roughly the same distance from the main pool and bus stop.

You'll probably be better off walking to Downtown Disney or taking the bus. The boat dock isn't very convenient to the buildings that are presently open. It would most likely take you 5+ minutes to get to the dock alone vs. 10 minutes just to walk to DD.

There are walkways to go to either the Marketplace or West Side. I'd suggest just taking the walkway that happens to be closest to your individual building. It's a big circular route no matter how you look at it.
