I hope you guys can help me out here...

I purchased points for SSR in March, but still have not closed...is it me or is this taking too long?
Also, if I want to own points somewhere else can I switch where I own before closing?
Last question, I know with your home resort you can book 11 months in advance. So, for example: could I book a certain week at SSR 11 months in advance then change my reservation to another resort for that same week once the 7 month window opens up?

SSR is the only DVC property available to purchase now, so you can't switch. Your second question is exactly the way it works. To be sure of accomadations, book your home resort (SSR), then at 7 months, see waht is available elsewhere. Welcome Home and congratulatons!

It depends on when the building you "own" will be completed. Ownership is a theoretical thing, because you'll actually get a room at any of the buildings on the campus.

No, probably not through Disney. Unless you already own DVC points, you usually must buy the other resorts through a reseller. This can be a good deal and a membership acquired that way is a genuine, full membership, but there's probably no way to "switch" your purchase within the Disney system.

Thank you so much. My DH just called and found out that we actually closed on June 23rd!!!! I am so excited, our final papers are in the mail! WOOHOO!!!
