A few questions

We arrive at HRH during the early evening of 13 December and I have booked an AP rate (13th to 16th). My daughter and I had APs and these were initially extended by UOR, but the travel ban went on beyond the extension so they have offered me 20% off two new APs or two ‘free’ 3 park 5 day park to park tickets. We will use the AP option as we have another trip planned. I have a code and UOR chat person, said that the code is linked to my old AP, so if I present that and ID all will be well. This sounds like something I need to sort out on our arrival night on 13th, rather than on the morning of 14th. Is there a ‘better’, most efficient GS location?
I will buy an ordinary ticket for my son and I am weighing up the option of purchasing a U.K. 14 day ticket or a US 3 day 2 park ticket (maybe a Black Friday sale?). Can I get an AP discount when purchasing day tickets for my son when I arrive?
Is there still a VQ for Velocicoaster? I can’t see it in the app, but maybe it doesn’t show because I don’t have valid tickets in my wallet. Thank you for any advice offered.

Should be able to - however, note that the AP discount is off the gate price, which is higher than the online price. An online deal is often the best option.

Is there still a VQ for Velocicoaster?

I don't believe there has ever been a VQ for Velocicoaster.

No, no Virtual Line for Velocicoaster. I’m not sure they ever will use in there. The line moves pretty quickly and it doesn’t build the waits that Hagrids does.

Velocicoaster is an efficient ride and can churn people through. And I’d be that a lot of guests see the high hat and won’t even get in line ;(

Each hotel has a ticket desk but limited hours I believe. Maybe 7am-7pm?? We picked up our APs at a hotel desk this past August which was already paid in full.
