Bringing my two teenage sons to Universal, May 4th for 4 nights!
SO excited... we haven't been since 2013 and are really looking forward to it!

I have been, as usual, using the boards a lot for planning, however I have a few questions.

I purchased the trip as a package through JetBlue, so I will receive, by email, ticket vouchers. It says "go to a ticket window to redeem". Has anyone dealt with these "vouchers"? Can I redeem at a kiosk, or does it have to be the actual window where they sell the tickets? Do these windows open before the park opens? I'm assuming the lines are looooong.

We land Thurs at 6pm, using Tony to get to CB with a grocery stop. I'm wondering if we will have time to check in and hit the parks... if only to redeem our tickets. That way it will save time the next am. Thoughts?

HP - I'm seeing that the time to do this is at early entry or late in the day. I like the idea of doing it late, though I'm not sure it will actually be dark on the days we are there..... how close to closing do you suggest we head there to get it all in?

Universal Orlando website - omg. Hate it. Slow, freezes, blah blah blah. I am looking for early entry days and it is only showing up to April 1-7. Yes? Am I missing something?

That's it for now! I'm sure more will come as the days go by....

TIA!

You might have enough time to get to a ticket window that night, but too close to call for sure. I wouldn't burn a park 'day' on a ticket for an hour at night, though. Was not sure your intent was to just exchange the vouchers or 'hit the park'.

You will also have enough time in the morning. The ticket windows do not have long queues as most people already have their tix. Send the rest of the family to the entrance queue while you are at the window.

Great advice, sending fam to entrance line!

How late do the ticket windows stay open? And in the am, how early do they open? Before the park?

If I redeem my vouchers on Thursday but don't go in the park, I have not used a day, correct?

I WAS thinking of maybe spending that hour in the park ... hit HP... not as busy end of day right? We have four day passes and only have three full days anyway, so I wouldn't consider it a waste. How close to closing can you get in and how close to closing till they don't let you in line?

I have experience otherwise....

If I were you I'd go in the evening and get your passes squared away. I was there on February 17th, arrived at the gate at 8:10 for early entry and waited in line at the ticket booth for 35 minutes. We send my brother and his gf to the gate and they were finishing their Starbucks they bought in the park when we found them.

I second Mama Lo. Sometimes it's empty, other times there has been a line a half hour long. Especially at opening, a lot of times, even with a line, there were only two people there.
Usually, I was done quick...but I wouldn't chance it if you want to hit rope drop.
