Hi guys,

I was hoping you could help me out with a few basic questions about some dining options at WDW. We are going out there for our honeymoon in Sept so I'm starting to get ready for booking my ADRs. We're not on the dining plan this year.

ESPN Club - Had a look at the menu here and there's a few snack type things that sound good. Is it possible to go here and just sit at the bar (crowds permitting obviously) and get fries or something similar as a snack, without having to sit down and get a whole meal there? We're staying at the Beach Club for our secnd week and would like some options nearby. How late is it open?

Kona Cafe - Is the breakfast here counter service or table? If the latter, how necessary would ADRs be for late September? Would it be possible to just walk up?

Grand Floridian Cafe - Does this place do the special cakes you can pre-order, like the mini wedding cake? Looking to suprise future DH with something like this.

Grand Floridian Private Dining - Any info on this, especially costs and getting special cakes made, would be really appreciated as I haven't found much.

Thank you!

You can sit in just about any TS restaurant on property and just order appetizers, or dessert or a full meal- whatever you choose. So it's no problem here either.
There is a "bar" area with high top tables and lots of TVs- you can get drinks and snacks here too.
The thing to know about ESPN is that they do not take ADRs. So if there is an important game going on at the time you hope to dine- it may be crazy busy, and it might not be possible to get in.

Kona is a table service restaurant. Most of the time it is possible to walk up without an ADR. HOWEVER, if free dining is offered again this year during your vacation time- I would suggest making ADRs for Kona, and every restaurant you hope to dine at- "just in case."

I know GF does do special order cakes. You would have to call them directly and ask what options are available. Same for private dining.

Happy Planning! :bride:

I will anwser what I can ESPN I don't think that wouldbe a problem unless there is some Major sporting event going on, then the place will be packed. Kona is a table service & one of the more popular places for breakfast so you might what an ADR. I think that most of the fancy dessert things are available at GF in general so you should be ok with ordering one at GFC. just remember Sept has been having free dining the past couple of years so the TS places could be busy.
