A Few Questions Before Our Trip...

We are leaving in just a little under two weeks! Yay!

Do they still have the little petting zoo open at Big Thunder Ranch?

Are glass baby food jars allowed into the park, or should I look for some in plastic?

Will we need to do baby swap with 9 month old DD on TSMM?

Last week the petting zoo was closed. The turkey was still there but he actual zoo part was closed. I know they are going to put the BBQ back so maybe they are working on that. I don't know, I just know that DBF didn't get to pet the animals like he likes to. LOL

Glass baby food jars should be allowed, but why not take a few small plastic containers and transfer it over just in case. Take a sponge and cut it up, add a little bit of dish soap to each one and use 1 a day to clean the little plastic containers. You can do that with paper towels too but I like it better with sponges.

You shouldn't need to baby swap, I saw someone take a sleeping baby with them, they just put the baby between them when the say down. The Momma had the baby under her restraint. Another group went on with their sleeping baby in a sling, Momma just pulled the sling close to her and pulled the restraint bck.

That's a good idea for the baby food. We are bringing stuff to wash out our sippie cups already, so that would work.

According to the sign Big Thunder Ranch is due to reopen at the end of the month (Jan.) I guess we'll have to wait until then to see if the petting zoo re-emerges.
