a few questions about staying at swan or dolphin

We own a place in the area and have an upcoming visit planned. I am considering booking a single night using marriott points at any of the 3 swan / dolphin properties. I want to do this connected to our Hollywood Studios park day. I would be doing this specifically to access the park and ILL early. We are all about Star Wars and this is our first visit there. Our Hollywood Studios day is a Tuesday. If I book aTuesday night stay can I still get the ILL at 7am and early entry that day even though we have not checked in to the hotel yet? Just curious also is parking at the theme park going to be included in that case? or is it ever included with swan/dolphin stays? Final question is for Marriott Bonvoy members. I am a platinum member can I use my late check out at swan/dolphin properties so we could enjoy the resort on Wednesday as that is a non park day?

Thank you so much for your help!

I can share my experience for your first question. In December, we stayed at at a Marriott property the night before checking into our Disney hotel. We were able to make Lightning Lane and ILL selections from that Marriott at 7:00 while eating breakfast. We did do online checkin for the Disney resort; I don’t know if that makes a difference. I have no experience for your other two questions.

I was able to get the late checkout on our last stay but it was in September at a low time. I’m not sure if its always available.

I suggest you ask this on the Swan/Dolphin thread. Many posters there with lots of knowledge.

Unfortunately your parking fee for Swan/Dolphin/Reserve only covers the resort, it will not get you access to the parks BUT if all you're doing is going to the parks, then I would leave your car in the lot and use the transportation system they have (bus to AK, MK and Disney Springs, boat to Epcot & HS - though if you're up for it, you can also walk to both). I've been able to get late checkout no problem. You didn't ask, but I HIGHLY recommend you take the breakfast as your amenity at the Garden Grove off the menu. I've logged a ton of nights at these properties and happy to answer additional questions!

Not really true. Technically your hotel stay at S D R, not your parking fee, allows free parking in theme parks.

Huh! You learn something new every day - just read the fine print that confirms that :) That said, one of the reasons I choose to stay there is for the resort transportation.

We have stayed at Swan and Dolphin and have gotten all the same benefits for iLL$ as disney resort guests. We've arrived at the hotel before our actual check in time and had no issues parking our car in the lot and heading to the parks. You will have access to G+/iLL$ even if you've not yet checked into the hotel. You will also have access to early park entry and extended evening hours if available on your day of visit. And yes, you can park your car at the park if you choose to, you have to show your room key. Not sure if you're not checked in yet how that will play out, suppose you could show your room reservation in the marriott app but maybe hit up the Swan/Dolphin thread and ask, likely there are a few people who've experienced this.
