Will be in Disneyland for two full days in early March. Will be A solo trip and my first ever visit. Probably staying at candycane inn. Doing some light planning but did not want to over plan.

Would love some suggestions for your favorite counter service restaurants in both parks.

And would you do a park hopper for just two days? Or one day in each park? Any other suggestions? Can't wait to hear your feedback.

Thanks!

Counter Service @ Disneyland:
Plaza Inn
Stage Door Cafe
Hungry Bear
Bengal BBQ
Redd Rockets
Rancho Zocalo

Counter Service @ California Adventure:
Flo's
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta
Award Weiners
White Water Snacks even though its not technically at DCA. Only a short walk through the Grand California Entrance.

If you only have two days
I would think that you would need one entire day at Disneyland
At California Adventure you might be done a bit early and then head over to Disneyland at night.
If you can do three days. One at DL one at DCA, third day will park hop.

My favorite counter service locations in DL are the French Market (NOS) and the Plaza Inn (MS). The French Market has very good salads and entrees. If you time it right, you can listen to the Royal Street Bachelors perform. The only drawback is it's outdoor only seating, so it can be hot or cold, depending on the weather. The Plaza Inn is best known for it's fried chicken and I like that best (although, the pot roast is also good). It has a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating.

For me, if finances are not an issue, I would go with the park hopper. The parks are only 110 yards (about one football field) apart and it doesn't take a lot time to hop. I generally like to spend the morning in one park and then hop to the other park for the afternoon/evening. I also recommend hoppers because (for my family at least), there isn't quite enough to do in DCA to warrant a full day. We mostly focus on Carsland, TSMM, Muppets (when open), and a few other things, which isn't really a full day's worth of attractions and shows. If you planned to do everything or nearly everything in DCA, then it would probably take a full day.

My favorite counter service at Disneyland

The corn dog cart
Bengal bbq (more of a snack)
River belle for breakfast

Dca
Fiddler fifer amazing turkey croissant sandwich
Paradise garden grill

A 2-day park hopper should be sufficient to let you see most everything on a solo trip. On my solo trips, I do 3 days, and I spend a fair amount of time just enjoying the atmosphere!

Remember to make use of the single rider lines! California Screamin', Goofy's Sky School, Grizzly River Run, Indiana Jones, Radiator Springs Racers, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Soarin' Over California, and Splash Mountain all have single rider lines. Just find the CM (usually at the beginning of the Fast Pass Line), and tell them you would like to do single rider, and they will give you the pass.

My favorite counter service restaurants are Taste Pilot's Grill, Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta (I think that's the name of it!), and the hot dogs (the buns are so soft!).

I personally loved the Jolly Holiday Bakery in Disneyland. Really yummy sandwiches and they had a lot of really good looking baked goods, though I could not eat them.

For Counter Service
-Plaza Inn is great.
-If you like corn dogs, Disneyland has the absolute best.
-I have really wanted to try FLO's in Carsland but haven't got a chance yet. I have heard great things about it.
-Hungry Bear is my FAVORITE but if you are going in the next few months it may still be closed.

This blog has some great reviews for dining in the parks.
