A Few Pix from SDV Orlando

I was at SDV at Disney's Yacht Club on Friday (my birthday ) with my friend Robbie and thought I'd share a few pictures. It was amazing! Some girls brought their entire scrapbooking rooms - including their own shelving and chairs! It was our first SDV event and we had a wonderful time! We both cannot wait to go back next year!

I got 11 pages done, which was pretty good considering we were there only Friday and had a lot of visiting and shopping to do

Thanks for the pics!! I had debated on wheather or not i wanted to go next yr, but chose a family trip again for next Nov.. I just don't know about doing WDW and cropping.. I wouldn't know what to do first! My 2 great loves!! Although, i guess in Aug, it is so hot there i wouldn't want to go to the parks in the day anyway! LOL

I finally got on the computer! We got back late last night and had a blast! I got 30 pages done!!! I'm so proud of myself. I would have taken pictures but DH needed the battery and card from my camera for his so no pics for me, but DH did get some amazing shots of Jack Sparrow! I will have him transfer the pics to my photobucket acct tomorrow.
I'll post some of my layouts too.

I really want to go next year for all 4 days but it's in Sept and the kids are already in school. What to do.....

I showed these pics to my DH last night and he about died. He just couldn't understan why you would want to take all that stuff with you. I just kindly reminded him how much more I seem to get done when I'm working with someone. He then replied with that many ladies all I would do was talk. LOL the nerve of him. LOL but I can't lie when the girls and I get together we do alot more talking then work however you can do both and I am multi-talented. Aren't all scrapbookers?

Next year it's in September? Oh, that's even better for me We'll have to plan early in 2007 and decide how many days we can afford (financially and to be away!)

Caitsmama - It was like sensory overload for me! My best friend called me Friday morning and she said "How are you doing? You're in Disney with your hubby, it's your birthday, and you're spending the day scrapping with a dear friend - are you still able to breathe?"

jennyL - I know what your hubby means! My DH picked me up at 6:00 pm (it was my birthday and we had dinner plans) and he was afraid to come into the room! He couldn't get over it! The pictures do not tell half the story! I only brought my small cart and one bag, but there were ladies there who packed up their entire rooms! I guess if I did the whole Convention I would need more to work on, but still I cannot see bringing that much stuff. More power to them One of the ladies at our table got only 2 pages done on Friday because she was shopping, visiting, and had classes, but she was there the whole weekend so she had time to spare, we only had one day.

The whole experience was really amazing and I cannot wait to go back!

Jen SDV Orlando is Sept 6-9 2007 but they do not have dates yet for 2008

Buffy those pages and can were awesome! I love the can!!!

I am glad y'all had a good time!!! I can't fathom scrapping if I am in WDW! But our LSS is hosting two scrapping cruises this February. That works for me, once you are out to sea, there nothing much you'd be missing! Still working on my DH on that!

I would love to go on a cruise but with 4 little ones it just isn't feasible. Maybe when they get older.....

We happened to be down there on vacation the same time SDV was going on staying at the Boardwalk. On saturday I walked aorund the room with my kids - way cool! I have never been to a crop and I have never seen anything like that (other than rubber stamping conventions) and it was so cool! I would have LOVED to go around and look at everyones stuff, but I am sure many would not have liked that! Glad you had a good time as it looked like a lot of fun!

Actually for the most part they love sharing. I passed one table were the lady wasn't there but she displayed all the pages she had done. I think the best part of it is seeing the way others scrap. I had my camera but DH needed the card and the battery for his so I didn't get any pics of pages. Next time I'm bringing the little camera.

Thanks for sharing your pics! It really looks like you guys had a great time! I let Caitsmama talk me outta going next year and booking a trip instead!!!! The parks were just calling our names!!!! I can still hear them!!!

I think it will be better anyway, cause the way I am, I would be in there cropping and wishing I was out there PLAYING in the parks!!!

It's your friend, Robbie here. Since you told me about this site, thought I would take a look-see and I like.....! Saw your message here and thought I would add to it for anyone who might be interested.

Would love to say hello to fellow scrappers! HELLO!!!

Jen and I are now Scrapaddicts! We loved the convention. Already making plans for next year!

How do you post pics here? I would love to add to what Jen sent. I just finished my pages of our time together and would love to share.

BTW Jen, we need to make the t-shirt thing an annual tradition too!

everyone...don't know if anyone stopped by my booth, but I was Gray Gables Designs/Leaving Prints! It was SO MUCH fun watching everyone setting up and cropping and Saturday night...there was a CM doing backflips in a business suit!!!

Next year it's supposed to be back at the Contemporary...I'm planning to be there again!
