Been reading postings since starting to plan our first trip to WDW, finally decided to join in. We will be using a car service from the airport to CBR, my questions are: Do you get help with your luggage from the car to the check-in area? Do you also get help with luggage from check-in area to your room? I have read that this resort is big and spread-out. I shudder at the thought of dragging our luggage all over by ourselves. Thanks

And the town car driver should help you with your luggage. Rolling luggage (fairly standard now) or a luggage carrier would not be a bad idea, just in case.

CBR is very large and spread out, and you chose a wonderful resort. Your car service will let you off at a building called the Custom House (CH), which houses the resort's front desk, guest services, and Bell Services. After you check in, a Bell Services CM will load your luggage into a van, and then will drive you and your luggage to your room. If it's a very busy time you may have to wait, however.

People who use Disney's Magical Express (DME) (in which your luggage automatically gets delivered to your room from the airplane) don't have luggage to worry about. After DME users check in, they are directed to the bus stop of the resort's internal shuttle bus. The internal shuttle stops at each village in CBR, plus Old Port Royale (OPR), the complex that has the main pool, food court, sit down restaurant, bar, shops, arcade, and water sports/bike rental. DME users just ride the internal shuttle to the proper stop, get off the bus, and walk to their room with their carry-ons. You're given a map at check-in and it's a pretty simple operation.

When I stayed at CBR in 1990 we got a ride in a van because, obviously, we had luggage. When we stayed at CBR this past May we had to take the bus since we used DME and had no checked luggage with us. It did seem a little odd to be (nicely) told to take the bus to our room, but in the grand scheme of things it made perfect sense. We had no problem finding our village and our room even though it was a village we'd never visited the last time we were at CBR 15 years ago.

ENJOY! I'm so jealous ....
