A few more Chicago meet pictures

This is a combination of all the photos I took on Friday and Saturday while
in Chicago for the meet. The drive out started off really early Friday
morning (about 7 am EST). It was going fairly well and we were making
decent time until we hit a major slow down on I-65 in northern Indiana. We
were forced off the highway and made to take an alternate route due to major
lake effect snow up the road. The cool thing was while at a stop light on
the alternate route, shep & believe (Todd & Amanda) and their girls
Mandy & Cassie were right behind us. So they followed us as we drove
into Chicago and even around downtown.
After reaching the hotel, we gave Dan Murphy a call and met for lunch at a
local place called Tore & Luke. They have very good sandwiches!

While Dan was in the background taking pictures of the girls, I snagged one
of Todd... he already looked tired of getting his picture taken :eek:

Fast forwarding a few hours to that evening at Ginos for dinner!

It was truly unbelievable
that Brisully (Brian) and Dan wore the exact same outfit!

The kids really enjoyed drawing all over the walls. We see Brit drawing
on the wall as Mandy looks on. Also here are John, Kevin and Danny all of
kejoda's boys (and where her username comes from: KEvin JOhn DAnny)

In order to get Luis to agree to come, Mike had told Luis that he could brag
about his team winning...

... and that he does!!!

The next day we had a the meet at the Lion King IMAX. It was an
excellent movie and after we headed over to Famous Dave's for some good food!

This was one of the two rooms we had for our group. In the middle of
the picture is Smee (Corinne) her DS (Dan) and her DH (Doug)

And hereby starts a tale. Not too long ago a fellow DISer (December99)
that no one from the DIS would ever steal her topper from her car... well it is
pictured here so I guess she was wrong

A lot of the credit to this "stealing" has to go to Kim here.
We had discussed the evening before that we would steal the topper at the meet
on Saturday.

This was mskani's (Kani) first meet and I had a nice chat with her, her DD (Mikaela)

This was just so cute. Mandy had first shot at holding onto the topper
and that made Cassie a little sad.

After dinner a few headed over to Dave & Busters for dinner.
Then we all returned for the night, even though my bed was inviting a few of us
chatted until very late making for a wonderful ending to a wonderful weekend
full of DIS Meets

I am happy to report that my antenna topper made it home safe and sound!!!! ROFL...we were laughing pretty good about that one - nice move Elaine and Kim...hmmmm...people really DO pay attention to posts!!!!! ROFL
