Just got my Backstage Pass today. I noticed a few things on the calendar that may be of interest to those who may, or may not, have an AP.

Phineas & Ferb will be live at DCA during SOUNDsational Summer.

SOUNDSational Summer ends Sept. 5th, Labor Day.

Halloweentime starts Friday, Sept. 16th and runs through Oct. 31st. (yes, even though it's a Tuesday)

On November's calendar it says "Get your Holidays shopping started with special AP discounts extended through Dec. 2011." Don't know if there's an extra discount or it's just that the 20% for PAP and 10% for all AP is good thru end of 2011?:confused3

On Friday, Nov. 25th it says "Don't miss the Christmas Fantasy Parade during the Holidays at DLR". So while it doesn't say the holidays are starting on Nov. 25th, historically it has started the day after Tday.

Enjoy!

I haven't received mine yet, so thanks for the info! My DD is going to love seeing Phineas & Ferb. :)

I love the little calendar! I'll be using it

I got my Backstage Pass calendar yesterday and posted about it in the Christmas thread. I don't know if this new calendar format is permanent or just a supplemental thing to the regular Backstage Pass.:confused3

For the last two years, the holiday season at Disneyland Resort has officially begun two Fridays before Thanksgiving, not after it. And in 2008, it began one week before Thanksgiving. This year it will either begin on 11/11 or 11/18. DLR will eventually release an official season start date which will be pre-Thanksgiving, and that will be the first date of the holiday entertainment (parade, fireworks, snow on Main Street, Reindeer Round-Up, IASW Holiday, Winter Castle, etc.). Both parks will have their decorations by that season start date.

But it's after Thanksgiving when the 3 hotels get into the Christmas spirit and receive their holiday decorations, so that part of DLR doesn't really get into the full swing of the season until then, but the official Disneyland Resort holiday season will begin before Thanksgiving.

For those that haven't received it (Like Me) it is available to read on the AP website.

Not really anything new in it though that I noticed. I was hoping it would list some specials but no such luck.

There is the SOUNDsational Summer Sleepover discount on the back cover - "up to 30%" discount (which basically means 30% off at the GCH and a lower discount for the DLH and PPH) if you stay onsite and complete travel by July 3, 2011. They say to ask for "rate plan 'APH.'"

That is the same discount we have had for awhile so not new unfortunately. I am surprised I didn't see anything on the complimentary Fast Passes when you stay on-site unless I missed that... reading online is hard to read some of the text.

I didn't get mine yet either. I tried to read it from the AP site but it wouldn't let me. It redirects me to the main page. Ohwell. I'll probably get it tomorrow.

I got so excited when I read that Phineas & Ferb is gonna be there! But then I saw the end date. =\ We won't be there until Sept. 28th! *sigh*

I didn't see any mention of the Fast Passes in the Backstage Pass, either.

I actually dislike reading most newsletters/magazines/guidebooks/newspapers online, because they are hard to read sometimes. The online versions of things are good in a pinch if you need to get quick info, but I actually like holding things in my hands and flipping pages!:rotfl2: I like to have the actual hard copies!

Kind of bummed too, no revealing pictures of DCA,DLH or Soundsational parade. Only thing I learned is Phineas and Ferb in DL, which is ok, but not spectacular.
