Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from MK to Poly and MK to Grand Floridian? Is monorail the fastest? Or boat?

As an alternative, how long to get to Poly or GF from WL?

We are trying to plan ADRs and I am not sure if we should be eating really early (and going to dinner right from our "rest time") and then going to the parks, or if it reasonable to go to the parks, then have resort dinner, then go back. I have two small kids who will need naps/rest time. So we either have dinner at the resorts at 5ish, then go to the parks. Or we can try to get to the parks a little earlier (probably 4:30 is the earliest with trans time) and then grab dinner, then go back. I am thinking going right there makes the most sense, although it makes an early dinner.

Any thoughts?

You are best off taking the boat from WL to MK. Leave about 45 minutes total time to do this. From the MK to either the Polynesian or GF, I always take the boats. The same boat services both resorts. From the MK it stops at the GF first, then Polynesian. Then, back to MK. I have always found the monorail to take longer to get to those two resorts.
As far as how long it should take...I usually allow about 40 minutes tops for that particular trip. It has never taken me that long, but I just know that the first time I have only 20 minutes to get to dinner at 'Ohana, I will have just missed the boat, literally, and have to wait for the next one..usually about 15 more minutes!!! Better safe than sorry.

I asked a similar question a few days ago, and someone posted this link:

It's really great! Just select your "from" and "to", and it will tell you how long, and whether to take the bus, boat, etc. I'm so happy to be able to pass it on!
