A few CSR questions....

We've stayed twice at CSR and love it there (Ranchos and Casitas). Planning a May trip with hopes of getting into the Cabanas (with Casitas as 2nd choice) this time. I have a few questions for anyone who's been within the past 6 months or so:

1. High-speed internet access ($4.95/hr.): have you used it and were there any problems? Do all guest rooms have access? (I have a laptop with all the necessary hardware)

2. In-room coffee maker: I read somewhere that the coffee is replenished daily. I assume there is a charge for the coffee packets, right? How much? Just wondering if it would be cheaper to take a box of Maxwell House filter packs from home.

3. Are the arcades still pretty cool (El Centro and Dig Site)? My DS(8 - almost 9) is looking forward to these again, but I keep reminding him that particular games will change over time and there may be different ones from what he recalls.

Well, I had more questions, but don't remember them now. I'll post again if I think of them.

Hope this info helps...

1. I personally didn't use the internet access, but our good friend, who stayed in the casitas, used her computer daily and had no problems at all. We stayed in the Ranchos and saw the connections but did not use the service.

2. We used the coffee packets everyday of our stay (7 nites) and were never charged for the use. We even requested extra sweet & low from mousekeeping with no problems. We did leave a tip daily for the general services.

3. The arcades are still "way cool". My DH (age 47) still needs to be dragged out of these arcades.

Have a great trip, and enjoy CSR. It's one of our favorite places.

Great questions.

I have another - can I bring my own coffee and what kind of filter should I bring? I just can't do w/out my starbucks!!!

I want to bring my laptop too!!!

Coffee makers are small. They make 2 cups at a time. The coffee the resort leaves is at no charge. The coffee is prepacked in small filter bags. I guess you could bring some and cut them if you had to in order to fit the maker.

To EMMASGRAMMY: (reading your "tag") Oh yeh! You are the lady who lost her swim suit....:o Are you by any chance going to be at WDW end of May this year? I'll look for a lady in a turtleneck swimsuit!

...and to BUZZ2001:

Thanks a bunch for the info! I guess I didn't pay attention to the size of the coffee makers, but "small" does make more sense. I don't usually "tip," but I'll make sure to do so this trip.
