A fairly detailed, speculative analysis of what's pending at DHS

I found the following thread at wdwmagic regarding DHS changes. This is not as much a fan thread as it is a more business-themed analysis that comes from someone who seems to have a pretty decent grasp of the business side of Disney, and talks in pretty frank terms about how the reality points to a DHS rebuild on a (severe) budget, rather than a reinvention into a world-class park.

I would assess the opinions as frank, the analysis as highly sensible, but I won't make the mistake of calling it "news." The OP makes no bones about some of his post being speculation, and some being part of information he has seen from internal Disney presentations about the plans for DHS, so take it for what it's worth. I really like the analysis, because it isn't through "Disney colored glasses," it's frank about the impact Universal has had and continues to have on Disney, and how Disney seems not yet quite ready to handle that competitive force (my conclusion).

Focus on the posts by the OP, named Phenix. Those are primarily in the first couple of pages of the thread.

Anyway, with all those caveats and disclaimers, here's the link. I think it makes for excellent discussion.
