A&E Stampede this morning was insane!!!

Thanks for the info! I want to meet the 'original' A&E ;) but our FP+ is for 1:55-2:55pm. I didn't know they switched out A&Es at the FoF (this makes sense though) and figured there was little chance of us meeting the originals if we went so close to the parade time. Now I know it's random so I don't feel too bad! :rotfl:

I did see the originals in December at Epcot though! Didn't meet them, just spied them through the window in Norway.

Most of the time the CMs in parades usually mainly do just shows and parades. They don't do M&G's as much. Also if they're scheduled to do the parade that day they most likely won't be doing M&G's. Of course with PFH being the way it is, indoors, two rooms, it's really hard to know.

We were in MK for two rope drops on April 3 and 5. Both days, there were multiple, staged rope drops inside the park. Both times we were headed to BTMRR, and we got stopped at the Adventure Land area, stopped again at the street outside Country Bear, and then stopped for a third time where the dock/sidewalk merges into that street after it turns towards Splash Mountain. A gang of CMs walked in a row and made everyone follow them, to keep people from running. It made quite an impression on us because we'd never seen it done before this trip.

If they aren't doing this up Main Street for the princesses, they need to... it did help.

Let guests go to Anna and Elsa. My first full day at MK I got a date with Belle and let this deter people seeing her first thing! Has this shorten lines at other popular attractions in the morning before the main crowds get there?

I'm glad I have boys!! I haven't even seen frozen yet. :goodvibes

I have boys... in fact I am the only girl in the house. Sadly, we saw Frozen. And the BOYS in the house keep running around shouting "LET IT GO! DO YOU WANNA BUILD A SNOWMAN?! LET IT GOOOOOOOOOOOO!".

Please, make it stop...

When my 18 year old son was home from college on spring break, I had the CD playing ........ and he actually started singing along. How does THAT happen? :rotfl2:

I am still just very amazaed at how popular those characters are!!!! I can't beleive folks line up for that long to shee them.

Have you met a girl in the 3-12 range? Frozen is the "big thing" for them right now. Whether they prefer the girl they "are" - the awkward, clumsy, cute Anna - to the girl they "want to be" - the magical, ~*singing*~, gorgeous Elsa - you can bet they'd want to meet either of them. Darling Sister is four and she is absolutely obsessed with Frozen...and, to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if she'd be willing to wait a looooong time to meet her two favorite people.

That said, I have to admit, I'm a Frozen fanatic, too...Love it more than I love Brave, and that's saying A LOT!!!! :yay: And I'd be willing to wait hours for a few moments with Anna and Elsa...

Wouldn't that require them to have the dresses in stock, first? :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Best said! We were told by my aunt that the "baby" Frozen dolls were restocked in the store...they sold out in a few hours! Luckily, we shelled out the bucks...Kristoff is now sitting on the top of my bookshelf, still in his box when he's not out playing with my sister's baby Anna and baby Elsa. But look at any major retail store like Target or Toys R Us...We're lucky to have the Frozen merchandise we *have*, because generally they're usually well sold out by the time we get to a store! :confused3

FYI: Disneystores are raffling off the Elsa dress tomorrow morning, IF they got them in their shipment. Not all have them for this week. (it is possible that the outlet stores are less likely to have them tomorrow, but I do not know that for sure).

Be there at store opening, the plush and dolls go out in the morning, on SATURDAYS only. And on Saturdays, the stores will raffle off the dresses, by size, one per guest. You have to register for the dress drawing by 11 am in our store, we open at 10. Age 18 and up only.

While it is only a shot at a dress, it is at the regular price, not an Ebay price.

Interesting doesn't sound like they are doing that by me. They said today some sort of shipment is coming (I am looking for a shirt) they won't tell you if it is dresses, dolls, etc. they won't tell you when they suggest you come to the store several times over the course of the day.

I went into Castle Couture first thing this morning (looking for Elsa dresses, natch), and took a pic of the crowd. Here's the thing: They're doing EXACTLY the opposite of what was happening at EPCOT (and, sorry - I've not read the whole thread, and I may be repeating something someone else has already said): They are not letting one person get in line for the whole party. This stymies running dads, who are left milling about, hoping their slower family members reach the place quicker than other slow people, people doing the "One person leaves breakfast early or doesn't show up at all" thing, and anyone other than breakfast people who abandon their reservations altogether. But, by the time the rest of the party has reached the area, there is no hope of them meeting up with their others in that crowd.

We started today with Merida. About ten minutes into our wait, a dad who'd tried to get into the Anna and Elsa line said that that crowd had scared him more than anything he'd ever seen in his entire Disney experience.

By us, it's 10:00. Age 16 and up with a photo ID. They are estimating about 30 dresses at the store. I am very curious how many people will show up. DH and I will both get tickets, so at least we have a small chance.

Cinderella and Rapunzel often have a line of 30 minutes or less as everyone is racing to see Anna and Elsa. Considering Rapunzel used to consistently get lines of 45-60 mins and longer this is a significant drop.

I have 5 boys. I took 3 to see Frozen. They were 7, 5 and 13. The other 2 were busy. After 15 minutes I looked at the oldest, like what?... these little kids are not going to watch a girly movie. It was great, it held their attention more than The Lego Movie.

However, in August when we go, they all said, No Princesses. Which is ok with me, while everyone runs there, we will hit the rides. :)

I'm hoping by fall 2015 the hype has died down alittle. That's when we are going next, but we will be staying onsite so I'll definitely try to get a FP+ since my DD6 loves frozen.

My 4 year old son loved it too lol he will just randomly blurt out "yoohoo big summer blowout" in his best big Scandinavian shop owner voice lol

I guess, from their POV. I still think Disney should either turn it all into FP+ even if it meant holding some for same day or use a return pass of some sort given at the attraction day of. I see no reason to have people standing in line for 300 minutes.
That was my thought, some kind of return ticket passed out day of. Have them printed in advance with times and pass them out. Surely in 5 hours someone will need to use the bathroom or get something to eat.

My 3 sons are high school and college and they all loved Frozen. Sometimes they put it in the DVD player and watch it when their friends come over. I'm baffled.

Maybe they are looking for pointers to get girls? Hahaha, that is pretty funny though

The wait time today by 9:30am was 5.5 hours long! Seriously, who is waiting in these lines? Everything else in the park had a wait of 20 mins or less, including Space, Big Thunder and Peter Pans Flight
