Hello. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with character meet and greets using fastpass. If only the child is meeting the character, must the parent also have a fastpass?

My issue is this... My 8 year old daughter is obsessed with everything Frozen. I cannot imagine going to Walt Disney World and not letting her meet Anna. I also do not realistically think my Little one will be able to bare a 3 hour wait to do so. I was only able to secure a Fastpass for our MK date for one person (We are a party of 4). Would they allow me to walk my daughter in to meet Anna and Elsa if I do not have a fastpass myself? The website says when booking fastpasses that children must be 7 years old or accompanied by an adult. Does that mean Disney would be okay with my 8 year old walking in alone to meet them?

If this was your only option would YOU be okay with it? I am picturing one of us Walking her to the entrance and the other waiting by the exit. I wonder if the CM would have a heart and just let one of us walk in with her.

Anyone entering the return line must have a valid FP.

I think it depends on the CM. We rolled the dice yesterday for a very similar reason and they let my wife walk my daughter of 5 in with just my daughter having the FP. I'm the one that orginazes it all and it was either give that a try or a wasted ticket.

Except the OP's child is officially old enough to "ride alone" so that probably won't work.

Benihana, would your DD be comfortable meeting the princesses alone? If not, I would keep on trying for an overlapping FP+ *or* you can get there at rope drop and go directly to the Anna and Elsa line and spend less than 3 hours in it.

If you don't want to chance it get a FP, some CM's might let you on but I know of many who did not. A lot of people had the same idea so I know they got more strict on letting them in or not.

Disney would be ok with your daughter walking in alone to meet them. The CM letting you thru the FP device without one would have no ability to stop you from talking/meeting with "Elsa" and obviously Elsa wouldn't know to treat you any differently. I might have missed when you said you were going but your 3 hour estimate never occurs. There would be plenty of times where the wait is less than 1 hour. It isn't like I do not get enjoyment from watching my 5 year old meet the princesses so it should cost me a fast pass even though I never interact with them. Flynn Rider on the other hand I talked to him for awhile at MVMCP.
