A Dream Come True - 2/6/11 4-day Bahama Cruise

I'm really ready for the cruise.

Today I tripped at work and got into mud up to my knees.
UGH.

I guess if it was a mud rup at Senses I wouldn't be so cranky.

Beth Are you a Jersey Shore girl - Did you tan today? :rotfl:

Don't I wish????!!!!:rotfl2: I've never seen the show, although it's filmed only a few from home. As far as tan...at least mine is real. Oh wait, I don't have a tan. I might have a bit of "snow burn" if the sun ever comes out again, but right now we're looking at up to a foot of snow tonight, and clouds from now until some time in July;). My birthday is in May. I think I'll celebrate by building a snowperson on my front lawn.

Here's our motley group.
Look for us!

... or follow Rosie's smell. :sad2:

Okay Wally, can you label your peeps? Also, what is your connection with everyone, it sounds like you go way back with everyone?

Jim is the same way. He says he's not losing his hearing, it's just that the rest of the world is suddenly becoming very quiet.;) So now, if he sees someone looking at him, he usually says something brilliant like "hello" or "Are you talking to me?" He says those two are great conversation starters, especially with people who WEREN'T talking to him!

Hey, that's one way to do it! Jeremy's just turning into his dad, so hopefully he'll try and snap out of it. (I like his dad well enough, but, you know.)

I'm pretty good at getting people's attention! :thumbsup2

Oh, dear. Also, note to self: always carry camera.

Sorry to hear. :(

Turns out my stupid knee has a stupid case of tendinitis. I spent 2 hours at the doctor's office today to have them tell me this. I kind of figured, but Dr. Google wasn't helpful with "joint pain near the knee." (Hamstring tendinitis, on the other hand) But I had multiple sets of x-rays, saw a physician's assistant, then saw her AND my surgeon. He was concerned that my surgery from 2009 had failed. He's told me before that I have a good pain tolerance, but, um, in 2009, he straightened my tibia. If that failed, I think that I'd be in greater pain than me saying "I hurt, but I think it's from overdoing it?" Alls well that ends well. Gotta do less walking, methinks. Rest up for my trip of kicking back. ;)

Hard to believe the maiden voyage left today! FINALLY!! :woohoo:

....I still have 8. Sad.

However, you guys have had a HECK Of a winter. I'd probably be going nuts at this point in time. My parents just sent me photos, from Central MA, of last night's snow. I replied with "we got an inch on Monday and there were over 50 car accidents reported." (So not kidding. And yes, I still live in Michigan where it snows more than once a year)

Yes! Please make sure that you're well rested for all the relaxing coming up!;)

Well, I'm home today. My office has a two-hour delay, but the trains are running "when they run", and since it's a mile walk (including an uphill stretch which is as yet unplowed) to get to the station, I just called my boss and told him if he really needs me he can come and get me. His response? Someone has to go and get him first. His car won't start! I can work from home if he needs anything, but I doubt that he will.

In the meantime, I'm going to unpack the last of our stuff from moving and get organized with packing our stuff for vacation. This is torture, because I really hate packing for anything!

Over 50 accidents. That's crazy. I think that the fl drivers here have been misguided or forgotten where they live because on I-95 where I live there have been 6 (or more) accidents since Monday. No rain or snow to blame...

I can't believe were so close to cruising!! This is going to be awesome. :3dglasses:
