A Dream Come True - 2/6/11 4-day Bahama Cruise

I plan on being "at the bar" ... as much as possible.

Hopefully not under it. :flower3:

That is SO cute! I'm not a big Mickey fan (heresy, I know), but I love Sorcerer Mickey. I hope you don't mind that I've already snagged it!

Beth

Go for it! :thumbsup2

Jamie Is also a Sorcerer Mickey FREAK.
Or maybe he's just a Freak. :rotfl:

For some reason I'm really longing for this trip right now. :guilty:

I'm starting to look at booking a shuttle to the ship and back to the airport. Suggestions on your favorite company? It'll be me, my husband, our friend, his wife, their son... so five of us, I think, is cheaper than using the Disney transport.

Edit: I see that one group recommends Happy Limo and the price for 5 people isn't so bad.

Also, what time do you all recommend is the earliest (as in: do NOT book a flight before!!) flight one could book home. It looks like our options are "11am" or "3pm", so I think it'll be the 3pm... but our friend has NEVER cruised before and Jeremy and I have never done a Caribbean cruise (or one where we've had to worry about Customs, upon our return!).

I think DCL suggests not to book a return flight befor 1.

And we have 126 more days to go..........
And very soon I can start trying to get my Palo brunch reservation!

We've changed our plans yet again. I've just been assigned to a major project and won't be able to take vacation the week before the cruise, so it's back to the original plan of flying in the night before and staying at the airport. The trade-off is that I can take the whole week after the cruise, and not just the two days I was planning, so we'll go back to Pop Century and stay until Wednesday.

Saturday night Jim was learning how to book flights (he's a computer-newbie) and told me he found a great rate from Newark to Orlando on Continental. The price he quoted sounded way too good to be true, so I double-checked it with him. I'm going to have him book ALL of our flights now!

We still haven't spilled the beans to Shannan, although I have this feeling that she truly believes she's going. She's getting a little suspicious because the rest of the family is telling her it's going to be a very small Christmas this year, and then she hears them talking about all the things they're getting for her brother and sister. She was really disappointed that we had to cancel the family trip planned for early February because her mother will be just too pregnant to go anywhere, so, she's decided that she's either going to be going on our trip, or they're buying her a car. Since she's only 10, she doesn't think that's too likely. It seems that most of her other relatives are planning on giving her spending money for her trip. I like that idea--I won't have to spend quite as much money on her then!

Beth-Sorry that your plans got changed b/c of work! And I am also keeping this cruise a secret from my partner Jon. He has no clue. We will be in Disneyland and Las Vegas the week before and he knows about that but does not know our vacation will be extend a few extra days on a boat! :goodvibes

Mike...you just gave me an idea!;)

Sarah-I read somewhere that Flordia Town Car was good for larger parties maybe you should give them a try. I am sure you can google it..:)

We always use Tiffany Town Car--got their name here on the boards. We've had as few as two people and as many as five, who had 17 suitcases!
