I smell like roses!

That is amazing! I hope you have a speedy recovery!

I KNOW. I also have (but haven't scanned - bwhaha) print-outs of the x-ray taken at my post-op, where you can see the screw holes in the bone. EW.

Hello all! We just booked this cruise this week and I'm super excited! This will be our 3rd Disney cruise. Myself, dh, and 2 girls ages 7 and 3.

I finally finished reading all 36 pages of this thread - you all seem like a hoot! Can't wait to cruise with you!

Welcome!!!

We had a bit of disappointing news. My granddaughter will not be cruising with us. The new baby will be arriving earlier than originally planned, and she would want to be at home for her arrival. We were lucky enough that we were able to cancel her portion of the trip before the cutoff date, so I'll get her portion of the trip costs back. Instead, I think we'll plan to cruise with her after the family vacation in the fall. I'll see what the rebooking rates are, and maybe we can take a longer cruise.

Well, boo! But I hope all is well with mom and baby!

Glad to hear you're on the mend. It's a good thing to 'cause we hope to do alot of dancing on this ship. I supposed if you're not up to it you can always hold Jamie and Wally's purses.

I should be!
I hope.
But that's why I'm having surgery NOW and will fly twice on crutches for holidays... so that I can have a nice vacation and be all healed. :rotfl: Gotta have priorities!!

But I just got flattened with a head cold. The worst part is that I didn't have surgery at a hospital (aka germ factory) but at an off-site surgery center. I'm not sure if I should blame the general public, college students, or the germy niece my husband hung out with last weekend. Or all of the above and surgery.

We're in the process of making final payment and then we'll be good to go! HOORAY!

What are everyone's plans for Thanksgiving? We're going to the Lions v. Patriots game, which is a lot of fun. And has popcorn.

Welcome aboard!!!
I, for one, am great fun- but Wally and Jamie are not the funny you think....it's more like when you sniff old milk and say "Ooooooh...that smells funny"...that's them.
Look here ya old goat, We can take back the boys club card we gave you.
We only gave you one to get to James.

Rosie, are you getting the snow in Portland like we are here in Seattle? Beautiful day but can't wait for the warm sun on the cruise.

This cruise is starting to feel more real...we are paid in full, booked our flights, and booked an anniversary dinner at Remy while on board! Now...I have to book our pre-cruise hotel (hoping to get the Hyatt MCO on hotwire before we leave) and our transfers.

We also got our GTY stateroom assigned this week. 75 days to go!

Please keep any and all snow away from the New Jersey shore! I'm glad it's beautiful, and I sincerely hope you enjoy it. You can even have my share of any snow this winter:rotfl:!

sarbah77-Mom and baby are fine, but since the expected date of arrival has been adjusted, we know that Shannan wouldn't want to miss meeting her new sister. We've seen 3D ultrasound pictures, and the new baby looks exactly like her two sisters!

As for Thanksgiving--we're having a quiet day at home if such a thing is possible with almost-two-year-old twins. We all love to cook, so each of us is making "our specialty" to go with dinner. Mine is sausage and apple stuffing. My DIL started cooking yesterday. By the time I got home, my house smelled absolutely wonderful. I hope I can wait until Thursday to start eating the goodies!

What do you get when you cross a turkey with a centipede?
Lots of drumsticks!

Nope no snow. A few flurries last night and of course they were preparing for snow today...but the sun was shining brightly when I awoke!

Booked spa treatments last night!!! I can't believe how close we're getting!

the nightstick is the only thing he has thats big.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, and I look forward to meeting you all not long after the holiday season!

Beth

I hope all the Americans HAD a happy Thanksgiving! It's 11pm here so it's almost done for us!

We went to the Lions/Patriots football game today. We've lived in Michigan since 2001 but I apparently still root for the Patriots. My husband cheered for both teams and, strangely, none of the fans found that weird. (In good fashion he and I both wore University of Michigan gear, which is always safe at a pro sport event... especially when the away team's star quarterback graduated from Michigan!)

Our cruise is paid in full and so now I debate if I want to pre-book any sort of beach trip for Nassau. Is it necessary? Or do you think we can wait until we know that we want to go/the weather is going to be good or will that sort of trip sell out? (And if it does, do I care? ha!)
