A Dole Whip in my hand & my toes in the sand: CBR/Poly Split Stay – This Is The Life!

Before I start reading this TR...is there any chance you and your husband are going to break up before you finish? The last 2 TR's I've read have ended abruptly because of broken relationships. :(

I don't want another sad TR!

:)

 Nope, no break up here!! Are you serious though? People write TR's about a trip that they broke up on? :scared1:

Seriously!? That's so sad. :sad1:

I love your badge on your profile. Lol "please feel free to put a blanket over your head." :rotfl2:

Shelly you might have had the best last day ever on this trip!!:goodvibes I love the approach you took--- just sorta any which way the wind blew. It worked out really really well.:thumbsup2

I thought DS10 rode BTMRR? And I agree with DS12--- the back is faster. But only in the afternoon once the sun has heated up the tracks and greased them good. My kids don't like to ride it in the mornings b/c they say it's slow.

I wish you had been able to eat at Pinocchio's Village Haus. So you could tell me if I should go or not.:rolleyes1 I don't think I've ever read of anyone eating there.:confused3

Great update!! Can't wait for more, but so sad your TR is coming to an end.:sad2:

Mommy Poppins--- wow-- that is crazy!!!! Pretty sure Shelly and her DH aren't breaking up though. They take pics all lovey dovey holding hands -n- junk.
:rolleyes1

Kidding, Shelly!

I know, we really lucked out with everything flowing so smoothly that day. Usually when we go in without a plan things turn ugly. :scared1::laughing:

DS10 rode it with us earlier in the trip one time and didn't care for it. :confused3 So it was just DS12 & I this time.

I wish we would have been able to eat at PVH too. Darn it. :headache: Maybe next time, but that's doubtful since Casey's will be open. :rotfl:

Lots more TR to come before it's all over!!

Shelly your DS insisting that the back is faster than the front, made me think of DH's Grand Parents flying to Ca. His DM wanted to fly 1st class because of it being a long flight and dear ole GramPa told her the front of the plane got there same time as the back and they were not flying 1st class.

BRMR is closed when we are there DH was disappointed but he would have to ride it by himself anyhow I did it once never again.I can not do coaster type rides at all ...hard to believe you rode it twice and no lines

If you can tolerate the heat Aug/Sept is the time to go I think. I have gone first week of Aug and the 3rd week and it was hot, rainy and busy both times. I am so hopeing it is not too bad crowd wise when we go. I figure anything has to be better than our last trip when it was a 10 every day I think.

Love the pic of you and DH in front of the castle

 That is funny about the plane!!

I really didn't see a difference in the front or back as far as speed, but I have heard several people say that the back is faster before! :confused3

Too bad that BTMRR is going to be down for your trip. Well too bad for your DH, not for you!! We are still pretty bummed about Test Track being down for our trip.

I hope it's not too busy for your trip! :wizard:

What a great update Shelly!

I agree with your son, the back of BTMRR is faster in the back - and it gives you an extra 'whip' in the turns. Fun!!!

My sons really like Cosmic rays - it is just ok by me - my oldest, makes us stay until we have seen Sonny play his entire set all the way through.

Great video too!!! Thanks for sharing!

Sea :cool1:

Well that is weird that just one place was without power. I don't think you missed much though. We ate there on our last trip and it was just ok. We had their pizza and salad and it was typical Disney pizza, like Pizza Planet. It is neat to sit in there and watch the people go by on Small World though.

Glad you liked Cosmic Ray's. It looked pretty good to me.

I loved the video on BTMRR. That is one of my favorite rides! It seemed so weird to hear your voices. I don't think I have heard them before. Now I want to see more videos from you! I love video clips in TRs b/c it gives you a real feeling of being there that pictures sometimes don't.

Can't wait to hear about the rest of the day, but don't want the TR to end. :guilty:

Your DS is right, the back is faster. When the front of the car is starting to go down a hill, the back is still getting pulled up at a slow pace. So the front can't really go that fast. But by the time the back makes it over the top of the hill and starts going down, the front is pulling all of the train faster and faster down the hill thanks to gravity. The longer the train, the more you'll notice it (so not as much on Space Mountain for example). :)

Yum, homemade chips!! I didn't have any in Disney, but they were a huge hit in Cuba during our wedding week! popcorn::

Thanks Sea! :goodvibes

My oldest just loves watching Sonny too!! :confused3:laughing: Strange kids!

Glad you enjoyed the video!:cool1:

I thought it was weird too. And that's what I was looking forward to -- getting a table overlooking IASW!

I didn't take too many video clips this time. :confused3 I think I have one of the boys on the Tea Cups that I forgot to post from that morning. Most of the video clips are little dancing clips for our big vacation video that I am putting together! :cool1:

Hey Mel, how are you feeling?

Well that makes sense about the back of the coaster. I'll have to tell DS! :yay:

The homemade chips were pretty good! :thumbsup2

I do not think I have ever seen the tea cup ride with empty cups before, it ...Thanks for my tea cup fix :)

According to DH the back of coasters are faster for the reasons everyone posted. We ate at PVH in August and we had the chicken parm. w/ spaghetti it was a nice change- we enjoyed it.
August is a great time to go (minus the rain) but still awesome for no waits!
BTMRR is gonna be closed until the end of May!!:scared1: We  that ride and are so sad :( about that.
When there were no lines anywhere for us, ds must have rode HM like 6x in 1 day and same for BTMRR and SM. It really was awesome!

Deb :)
