EDIT: So I realized I never properly introduced ourselves the real Disboards way! I think I just got really excited and wanted to dive right in! This is also the same excuse I am using for my lack of a chapters post. New stuff will be in PINK! And today I am feeling less shy and will post some pictures! YAY PICTURES!
HELLO!!

This is my first ever PTR! I have started this in hopes to better plan our honeymoon trip, which is coming up VERY soon! ONE WEEK! EEEEEP!

I'm "Elle" & hubs is "B". (I am shy, and may post face pictures. I just haven't decided yet!) We have both grown up on Disney and took our first trip together 2 years ago this May! B really likes Disney but just isn't as Disney obsessed as I am (he LOVES Universal, less strollers & planning, etc), so it took a little convincing and compromise BUT WE'RE GOING and we are both so excited!

We are in our mid 20's and finally made it official after almost 7 years! We were married earlier this month and decided to wait until after Easter to go in order to avoid all the craziness. I AM SO GLAD WE DID. I seriously could not imagine hopping on plane the day or so after and feeling like everything is ready to go. No. Way. I definitely needed these extra weeks to finalize ADRs, plans, and start packing. Not to mention since we did a lot of the wedding ourselves, going through boxes and boxes of vases, candle holders, linens, etc., would really be awful after coming home from Disney!
My new husband and I will arriving Friday, April 25th and our last day will be Thursday, May 1st. From May 2nd-6th we will be at Universal.
We are staying at Coronado which I am super excited about! It was between there or PORFQ, and Coronado won because it was a tad cheaper and I really liked the rooms. Since it is our honeymoon I wanted a really nice looking room that could also be romantic.

My dream resort is the Yacht Club, but it was either that or we cut out Universal and that was just not an option. We'll be in the parks most of the time anyway and I'll make it to Yacht Club eventually, just not this trip!
We are NOT on the DDP. I really wanted to try it since I've never been on it before and I loved the idea of prepaying and not having to worry about prices, but after going through menus and even trying to pick the most expensive things we STILL were way overpaying. Me and B are not big eaters and can split meals and usually skip breakfast anyway. We also don't order apps and will rarely order dessert or a soda. See? DDP is just not for us. However, we still made plenty of ADRs and plan on trying quite a few table service restaurants!
We have yet to pick out our FP+ selections (because I need to get our tickets! Hopefully I'll have those tomorrow!) And you should see an ADR post and our daily schedule hopefully tonight!
Thanks for joining and please feel free to offer up suggestions, tips, or to just say hi!

I couldn't wait to have kids and go back and since we've had children we've been back about every 2 years (this keeps getting shorter and shorter!). Anyway, enjoy your planning and looking forward to hearing more
It's also amazing how Disney people find each other and just get it. I had met a girl at work and we instantly bonded over Disney. We ended up getting so close that she is one of my very best friends and a bridesmaid! THANK YOU DISNEY!!!
We had about $650 in gift cards we received as wedding gifts! The lady helping me was extremely helpful and patient! She kept saying she was so excited for us and was giving me lots of tips and everything she said I already knew (THANKS DISBOARDS!), so I feel pretty prepared! The only thing that kind of stinks is since we waited so long to get tickets we miss out on getting FP+ for Anna & Elsa. I am hoping if we can make it to rope drop for a morning EMH we may have a chance!
) and apparently now only hotel guests can watch from the beach, we will probably be canceling this. Any recommendations for an inexpensive substitute? Maybe Whispering Canyon Cafe?

Besides, I kind of forgot about Animal Kingdom when I made all these ressies. If I cancel this one then we can do AK this morning/afternoon.

ALSO, 3 MORE DAYS UNTIL DISNEY!

I hoped this was false info, but I have read it from a couple different posts. I thought about doing California Grill and watching from the deck but it's a bit pricey and we'll be getting in late. I guess we'll have to plan another trip!

So, since I have people staying here while we are gone, I should probably get on that too!
