A Disney Dream Come True - Nov/Dec TR ~ Oct10 Another TR :)

I have enjoyed your TR so much! We were there from 11/28-12/3/11 and the only day we were in the same park as you guys was on Monday, the 29th (we were in HS all day). My original plan was to be at Epcot on the 28th, MK the 29th, HS the 30th and AK on 12/1. We ended up going to HS on the 29th, AK on the 30th (it was SO hot that day - I wished we had gone on Wed as it was much cooler) and then we went to MK on 12/1. We went to Splash Mountain and my DS24 & I got soaked sitting in the front log. We had base tickets so on the last two days (12/2 & 12/3), we visited HS and Epcot respectively.

You have such a beautiful family and I was so glad that the rest of the trip didn't remain like your first day. And what was up with that couple at Epcot while you were waiting on Illuminations? It always amazes me that some people play the "I can't speak English" card but who am I to judge? :confused3 Being rude is rude in any language!! (ok - I'll get off of my soapbox)

Ariana looks so pretty!!:goodvibes Love her new haircut!

I'm so glad to hear you had such a wonderful time watching the Lion King! It really does sound like such a great show! I think you may have convinced me....;)

I would love to see that show too...I bet it was truly amazing :goodvibes so glad you had an awesome time...and I guess your other recomendation would be to NOT wear eye make-up ;)

Wow - I wish the show was coming to my area... it must have already been in Boston. I was trying to find a show to take my mother to for her birthday but couldn't find anything right... too bad we missed it!

We decided to take her on a "Duck Boat" tour around Boston when the weather gets a bit better... it feels like it's been raining here for weeks!

Arianna looks so pretty in that picture. :goodvibes

Looks like an amazing time! I loved the Lion King when I saw it a couple years ago, they did such an amazing job with the costuming! It was one of my favorite parts, especially when the "animals" walk down the aisle ways! I'm glad you and Ariana enjoyed it and I hope you can find that ornament!

It's really great that you guys enjoyed the Lion King. I found it funny hat you said the stage seemed small as it's actually the biggest stage in a thetre in Toronto. It was built to host the musical Miss Saigon and the stage was built so that a full size helicopter (not not full weight) could be lowered on to the stage during part of that show. s a result of this sometimes when a touring show come to the Princess of Whales Thetre (named for the late Princess Diana) they sometimes need to adapt things to the large stage size.

Oh, how could you not have a marvelous time at The Lion King? :goodvibes Ariana looked like such a grown-up young lady! I'm so glad Mother and Daughter shared this magical experience together!

So glad you enjoyed the Lion King, it is an amazing show :goodvibes We went when it was in Toronto about 8 years ago - Ella was not quite 2 yrs old and the Lion King was her favourite movie (she was one of those toddlers that would actually sit through a whole movie so we figured she could handle the theater) and we all loved it :lovestruc

Arianna looked lovely and very grown up...that is awesome that she likes to get her hair done now :thumbsup2

Thats great you two had such a good time at the show. Ariana's hair looks so pretty in that picture! I'm so glad for you that she loves having it done now.

Hi everyone! Please pardon my interruption from DIS-ing lately. My laptop crapped out last weekend and I've just gotten in back. Lots of catching up to do.......

What a wonderful evening. I would love to see it someday. Bummer about the camera. One time I went to something and brought my SLR and they told me it was a professional camera and couldn't be brought in. I was bummed, and took it back to the car and brought in my point and shoot. I think before we go to Phineas and Ferb, I 'll call and ask. I would rather take the big one, because my P & S is not good with darker shots at all.

We had such a great time! It was so hard leaving my camera behind.... I would have loved to have seen a photopass photographer right about then! :rotfl2:

Arianna is quite the beautiful young lady!! Love the picture of her all gussied up!!!!!

Glad you had such a great evening at Lion King!! I would love to see one of the Disney productions, I might have to see if one is coming to my area!!

That mask is gorgeous, hope you can find it! What a surprise that would be for her!!!

Thanks Jen :goodvibes: She's such a girlie-girl, loves to dress up. Mary Poppins is coming to Toronto this November/December... we'll definately be going to that one too!

I did end up finding the mask at Disney Store.com but I ran into a snag shipping it to Canada. I'm working on it though :thumbsup2

Thank you!!! That off day was such a doozy wasn't it? Thankfully it only got better from there or I would have been toast.

I like that -- rude is rude in any language, very fitting! You're so right, you didn't need to speak english to understand you just stood in front of people. George standing in front of them still cracks me up.

Ariana looks so pretty!!:goodvibes Love her new haircut!

Hi Angie! Ariana loves her haircut too. It's beautiful when it's long so I'm going to ask they give her long layers next... easier for a ponytail too.

Did you get tickets?? :hyper:

I would love to see that show too...I bet it was truly amazing :goodvibes so glad you had an awesome time...and I guess your other recomendation would be to NOT wear eye make-up ;)

:rotfl: Yup, I'm a sap.

I am SOOOO done with rain too! I hope you get to do your tour soon. I always love doing things for special occasions. :goodvibes

The costumes are incredible! I loved the scene where the cast 'were' the grass and Simba was running above.. and the leaping antelope -- amazing!!

I read that about the stage after we were back home and I laughed at myself. Shows you how often we go to performances eh? :rotfl: I'm not sure what I expected.... I saw that it was quite deep, but I guess it seemed much narrower than I thought it would be. Mary Poppins will be at the Princess of Wales too. :cool1:

Oh, how could you not have a marvelous time at The Lion King? :goodvibes Ariana looked like such a grown-up young lady! I'm so glad Mother and Daughter shared this magical experience together!

It was a perfect thing for the two of us to do together. Demetri had wanted to go too but was happy in the end to do a few sporting things and see Imagination Movers instead. During the performance I'd turn to Ariana once in a while and whisper the lines to her along with the performers on stage. She'd always turn to me and smile. She was in absolute heaven! :cloud9:

Wow I'm impressed Ella at almost two did such a great job! It must have been such a facinating thing for her to see that young... does she still remember it? :cloud9:

I was so happy when I heard it was coming back to Toronto. Ariana wouldn't have been able to handle it when it was here before.

Thats great you two had such a good time at the show. Ariana's hair looks so pretty in that picture! I'm so glad for you that she loves having it done now.

We had a wonderful time! Disney takes all the credit for Ariana now loving getting her hair done.. such a Princess princess: Now she can get her hair done for her graduation!

Sounds like you both had such a good time at the show.

It was amazing!

We seem to be following each other :rotfl:

Althought this time we were a month after you. I also just got back from taking the family to see Lion King in TO.

My wife and I saw it 10 years ago when it first debuted in Toronto and could not wait to take the kids. I had just as much fun watching my DS 4's face as I did watching the play.

I am hoping to also go and see it in Ottawa in a few weeks. We will have to see what happens.

Enjoying reading your report it helps me get thru my work days.:thumbsup2

:rotfl: We should try a little co-ordination! We're going to go see Mary Poppins this winter. ;)

I did that too! I found myself watching Ariana and leaning towards her to whisper our favorite lines along with the cast. :goodvibes Lucky you to see it again! It's the 14th today and Ariana thinks we're going again. (We went on May 14th.) She keeps telling her educational assistant that we're going and she even wrote it in her agenda. Luckily tonight's movie night will help distract her.

You made my day - so nice of you to say... thank you! :flower3:

We are hoping to go and see Mary in November but I am just about to book our January WDW trip so may need to cut some costs. I can almost pay for the dining plan with what I would spend on a weekend in Toronto to see a play.

Oh how my Disney obsession has gotten so exspensive. It would be cheaper if I was a drug addict.

If we do decide to go I will be sure to let you know our dates.

Great! That would be fun! It will definately be Ariana and I that goes... I'm not sure at this point if Demetri would sit through a performance without getting ants in his pants. ;)
