Day 4: Tuesday, June 23 *continued*
We left off heading to the bus stop. I dont think we had to wait very long for an Epcot bus to show up. As we start heading to the park, it starts pouring
HARD
we make it to the bus stop and get off, but everyones staying under the roof. We started walking a bit, but it was raining SO hard. Plus, it was hard to walk when it was raining that hard because I had to keep my hand over my hearing aid to keep it from getting wet! So, we pulled over to the side and stood under the roof near another bus stop. We waited for it to let up a bit..
Waiting:
Eventually, it started letting up, so we headed to the entrance. It was awesome going through the bag check and finger scanning because a TON of people were leaving the park! Woo! Keep leaving people!
And heres our first good view of SE:
We walked right on SE. I was so excited to take B/F on this one too because he hadnt seen the new changes yet! I love answering the questions on the touch screen and watching our Future Life as we head backwards.
After SE, we headed over to do the Universe of Energy, or Ellen, as we like to call it. We had to do this one because last year, we got stuck on the ride and had to walk out of it after sitting in the pitch dark for a good 15-20 minutes! Anyone who has been on this knows that during the dinosaur scene, a dinosaur pops up and spits water at you. Well, Mom got wet! Last year, Sis and I got shot in the face so we thought it was funny she got it this time.
After Ellen, we headed to Mouse Gears to look around. I found a really cute zip up hoodie that says Walt Disney World across the front. I bought it just in case it started pouring again, then I could just put up the hoodie to cover my hearing aid. (*Remember this for another day!) The lady at the check-out was so nice! She even gave me two Mickey stickers!
By this time, we were hungry, so we decided to walk across to the Electric Umbrella since we would be eating at Sunshine Seasons on our other Epcot day. It was busy downstairs, so I went upstairs to see if there was a table and there was hardly anyone up there! Yay! I got the toasted turkey sub, grapes, and cheesecake, B/F got the toasted turkey sub, grapes, and a fruit bowl, Sis got the Greek salad and cheesecake, and Mom and Dad both got chicken fingers and cheesecake.
After Mouse Gears, we walked outside to decide what to do next. While we were there, we decided to take some pics:
Here you can kinda see my sweatshirt I got:
I think around this time, EMH hours had started, which was from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. We decided to head to TT next. Dad cant ride this one, so we said wed call him when we were done. The single rider line said only 5 minutes, so we got in that line instead of the stand-by line. Boy was that wrong! The wait ended up being 25 minutes, but it wasnt too bad. We even found a Hidden Mickey while waiting! Eventually, we made it to the loading area. B/F and Mom ended up riding in the same car and Sis and I ended up riding in the same car!
Of course, after we got off and looked at our ride photo, B/F HAD to take his time looking at the cars.
After he got out of the red car, he turned around to see THE car. He walks over and seriously starts drooling, so Sis took this great pic:
After we got him away from the cars, we headed to the gift shop. He was hoping to find a nice hat in there, and he saw a few, but decided to think about it until we were back for our next Epcot day.
We met back up with Dad and headed over to Nemo:
View of the ball from Nemo:
We walk in the Nemo entrance and start walking through all the weaving
and keep walking
and walking
and WALKED RIGHT ON! I love this ride..but I hate it when people start talking flash pictures of EVERYTHING. Oh well
By the time we get off, I have Big Blue World stuck in my head for the rest of the night!
After Nemo, we headed over to Living with the Land. This was probably both of my Grandpas favorite ride when they came with us back in 2001. Of course, it was a walk-on too. So many people skip out on this because they think its boring, but us being from the Midwest think its interesting! I love how you go by some of the Garden Grill restaurant as well.
After we got off, we decided to check the Soarin line, but it was WAY too long. We walked back over to TT and the stand-by line was way outside! So, we did SE again. Haha. When we got off, we decided to call it a night since there was only 45 minutes left of EMHs and we had done everything we really wanted to.
Good night, Epcot!
We made it back to our bus stop and our line was ridiculously long. Also
this was the moment we thought we were going to watch someone die. Were standing there in line at our bus stop..and this couple are out on the other side of where the buses drive. Theres a bus at the stop to our left and hes getting ready to pull out and leave..Well the couple look at the bus and see its pulling out and still decided to run out in front of it! We seriously thought they were going to get it. We all gasp at them and they just walk into our line like nothing happened! Idiots.
Finally a bus pulls up, we know that were not going to get a seat, but were okay with standing especially for people who need a seat. I held the bus handle with one arm and had my other arm through B/Fs belt loop and was good to go. Plus, OKW isnt that far away so it wasnt bad at all!
We made it back to the room and CRASHED.
