A dining Plan question I have not found an answer to

I have read as much as I could, before my eyes started crossing....but have not seen this question specifically answered.
We are traveling as a party of 6 adults. We booked our reservations together..splitting the cost 6 ways. We are getting three rooms, and the DDP.
Here is my question...as we do not intend on spending the entire week together, and won't be together for all meals....how does this work. Are we each given our own card with our meals on it..? We would basically be dividing up into groups of two or three...maybe occasionally one going off alone. Just want to make sure that each individual has access to thier dining plan, even if not with the others...or not with the person they are sharing room with.
Am I making ANY sense here?:rainbow:

Each room will have the allotment for that room (so if it's 2 adults per room for 7 nights, each person in that room would have access to 14 TS, 14 CS and 14 snacks).

It's going to come down to who is registered in each room, but every room key registered to that room can access meal credits

Thanks, that is what I figured, but I wanted to be sure. I seem to be the "research" person in our group, and one of the others asked me that question.

You don't want any hard feelings with anyone using more credits than they are allotted. You need to make it clear how many credits each person has; since, all the credits are pooled on the room card for each person.

Even with family you have to watch.

during the F & W festival we split up (my cousin, me and my mom - and my dad went off by himself). When we met up later I asked my dad how many credits he had used (we had only used a couple and paid oop for most of our treats). He says, "Oh I didn't keep track of how many I used, but I know that I still have 11 left." Ummm, no you don't - we're only here for 7 nights - that's the snack credits left for all of us. No matter how many times I told him that everything was pooled, he just couldn't get the concept.

Boy, ain't that the truth. When we went in May, FIL got mad at us and stormed off. He was sharing a room with SIL and used up all the snack credits they had for the trip- SIL had to pay oop for 4 days of snacks. Not that your family woud be like that, but it would be easy to accidentally use up extra credits too.

But it will just be the people who are in the same room who will have their credits pooled, not the entire group. So there will be 3 different pools of 2 people per pool. And each person will have access to all the credits in their pool.

Yes, as I will be rooming with Kim, who uses a wheelchair, and needs assistance with eating, I am sure we will be eating most if not all our meals together. But, I know she wants to do one dinner alone with a friend of hers who is traveling as part of our group.

So..and here is the official dumb question....each room will have two keys, one for each person..therefore each key card will hold the credits for the room, right?

Great news. This morning we made our reservations..so now it is just down to the planning. :yay: :cheer2: :dance3:
