A different kind of Atkins problem

I did 2 weeks of induction. Last day was Monday. I did decide to go off induction and move into OWL. I want to do it right, so I'm following the guide lines of adding 5 g a day/week. And I've added another cup of the "second" group of vegetables on the induction list. Except one day I added 1/2 c. cottage cheese.

My problem is that I'm having a hard time adding carbs because I'm having a hard time adding more food!! I have been counting my carbs and I'm not even hitting 20 a day (which was my goal).

I'm just not hungry enough to add more food. When I added the 1/2 c. of cottage cheese to my lunch the first day, all I could think was "Why am I eating this if I'm not hungry".

I really want to gradually up my carbs because I want to be able to eat things higher on the carbohydrate ladder (eventually).

I know that this sounds like a silly problem, but I'm really wondering how you other Atkins people added carbs without simply adding more food. (Does that make sense?)

It does seem silly to eat when you're not hungry. (I'm not there yet!) How 'bout addng more fruit? The berries & melons are the most efficient use of fruit carbs. With summer here, fresh fruit is available. That's where I would add carbs!

I think I might try the fruit thing. I have been missing fruit, even though I have been loving the veggies!

I remember Kelsie mentioning that she would melt carbolite chocolate and dip strawberries in it. That would be something that would add some extra carbs PLUS be a treat!:D

You might also want to consider trying some of the low carb breads and tortilla's.
