A detailed list of where all Dream CM have been

:rotfl: Is that your polite way of telling me to get a move on?!

I guess I better get off the boards and get to work!!

:tiptoe:

No, I'm not going until June;)

I just got tickled, because people think I am crazy because I do spreadsheets for my schedules while I am at WDW...what would they think if I told them my DIS friends were doing something like this...

You are very kind to be sharing this info...

Thanks!

Lynn

You guys are wasting your time. They could be at any attraction, any time and only for a few minutes. The whole point of the contest is that there is no way to budget for them. Your only recourse is to keep a RELAXED eye out for dream squad cast members (in a blue shirt with a white vest) and head in their direction if you see them handing out prizes.

Well, yes, to some degree it may be a waste of time, but I do find it interesting nonetheless. And while you can't predict the specific time and place of any dream giveaway, there are certainly trends in where and when things are given out. For example, out of 152 unique dreams reported on the sticky thread (I only counted "official" dreams - ears, lanyards, fast passes, etc - not Magical Moments), 14 of them occurred on Star Tours. Ten were on Tower of Terror, eight were at Planet Watch, while no one reported anything from Stitch. That's not to say nothing is given out at Stitch, but it certainly seems to be more frequent in some areas than in others.

And, as far as times go, by my own experience and the reports from others, the bulk of the dreams seem to be given away before noon. During our recent trip, we witnessed dreams between 10:00 and 11:00 am every morning, except for one in Epcot, which happened at about 1:00. So certainly that's something to take into consideration.

I would hope that anyone reading this thread understands that there are no guarantees, and there is no way to accurately predict where and when things will happen. Even if you did know WHERE they were going to be, the timing could be off just enough to make you the next train at Everest, or the next elevator on Tower. There's no way to guess that.

Even so, like I said...I find it very interesting.

More stats on the way....

(Sorry for the delay...our internet went down last night, so I couldn't get on. I think it's the Dream Team trying to foil our plans to figure them out!! :scared1: )

Does anyone have a photo with a Dream Team cast member in it??? I think it would be really fun for the kids to be looking out for him/her.

TIA:)

you have a chance to win by just showing up at WDW. if you win thats great. if you dont, well it still a WDW vacation!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter. I am just interested to see where they have been the most. Its about Statistics - probability!!!!

That's of 152 dreams recorded from the stickied thread and recent threads on this board. They're all unique dreams - I went through and attached them to the poster so that I could make sure they weren't duplicates.

I also did not include the dreams that had little or no detail - like, if someone just said they won ears in the MK, but didn't include a specific place or a date or anything, I didn't include it. Oh, and I didn't put magical moments in the tally...there were just too many, and those seem entirely random or at the whim of the CMs.

This list includes: ears, lanyard sets, Dream FPs, Castle Suite, limo ride, ESPN weekend, party tickets....things like that.

I don't think I have ever posted here (I am a world-class lurker :goodvibes ) but thought I could share our experience....

We were at WDW in January (20th-28th)....won Dream items twice, the dream ears and fastpasses, both in the Animal Kingdom on diferent days (yes, we went to AK two days! Got there late the first day and really had a good time so on the "free" day we decided to go back:thumbsup2 ).

First win was in the Maharajah Jungle Trek....

Second in the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail....

Noticing a trend here? :thumbsup2

The fastpass was cool (would have been cooler at MK though- not so many rides at AK, except Everest of Course), but Love those ears!! Even got DH to wear them most of the day!:earsboy:

We just returned from the World last Wednesday and won the extra hour at AK. We were at Rafiki's Planet Watch and the DT were stopping everyone as we were trying to board the train. Funny thing is...I didn't notice them and thought it was just a group of people talking so I tried to go around them to make the train(we were trying to make it back for the first Nemo show) and a DT member stopped me and said "you really want to wait for this". It was awesome! My daughter rode EE 6 times in a row and Dino twice and even had time to dance at the dance party! It was a great memory to have!

Hi, I was in Epcot with my family Jan. 25 or 26th and we all got Dream Mickey Ears!:cheer2: The CM's made a really big deal of it all shouting that we won, really exciting. There were 7 of all walking around with our special Dream ears. I can't tell you how awesome it was! It was the first time I had been able to get my sister's family to come and they won ears! Pixie dust big time!pixiedust: pixiedust:

We met the Dream Team inside one man's dream and were given dream fast passes. We did not use them much that day as the crowds were low. So the kids brought them home as souveiners. We almost missed them, but a guy and lady in blue shirts...suggested to hubbie to go into OMD, I said we had just been in there. They said they could not tell us why but it would be a good time to go in. So we did.

"Gee, you're swell" for doing this, Fantasmic--SUCH FUN!!

Thanks!!!!

I do think it's just completely random, and maybe Star Tours and TOT are just popular.

We got our ears on the Backlot Tour. I actually didn't want to go on it, but there were only a couple of people in line. There were only a few people on our tour. 15 0r 20 at the most.

It happened immediately after our "Magic Moment" with Mickey. We came into the place where Mickey meets people at MGM (just before the Backlot Tour) and he had just gotten there. Since the park had just opened no one was there yet. He played with my DD2 for about 5 minutes before he had a line. It was so great. The people who were in line actually told us to take our time because she was having so much fun.

GF and I won Lanyards & Pins leaving the Mickey line at Camp Minnie-Mickey (Animal Kingdom)

My family won lanyards getting off of Haunted Mansion at 9:45. The CM at the exit was really excited about it too so we knew we'd won something.

We also saw people getting ears at Space Mountain around 11:30. My parents just missed getting a big prize at Test Track. The people in the car in front of them went off to sign papers.

We kept seeing the Dream CMs but we only got the one prize. We came up with several theories: most prizes are before noon; don't look for a Dream CM because you probably won't win if you do see them standing around (part of the fun is being surprised!); try to go to locations were there aren't very many people (we thought if we were in Fantasyland or Frontierland in the morning while everyone else was in Tomorrowland we'd have a better chance).
