We, ( Me, DW, DD12, DS9, DD9), are taking a 4 day cruise this May 4th. We'll be flying out of Seattle on Friday May 2cnd & then driving to the Raddison from MCO later that afternoon. That leaves us on the Space Coast with the early evening and all day Saturday before the cruise on Sunday. After the cruise -- we'll be staying 8 days at OKW and have plenty of Disney time.... What would you do with the extra time before the cruise?

You could go to Kennedy Space Center OR you could go over to WDW for the day (which is what we did, we did just Animal Kingdom because we had never been there before).

Friday evening, after landing at MCO but before driving to the Radisson, I'd go to Downtown Disney to bask in the Disney environment and perhaps have a meal.

Saturday I would relax, visit the Cocoa Beach Pier, shop at Ron Jon's, relax on the beach, and then watch the Magic sail out either from Jetty Park or while enjoying dinner at Grill's or Rusty's.

I have links to all these places on my Space Coast Locater map...

BTW, if it were me and I were spending two nights there, I'd change to a hotel that's either on the beach or within walking distance. I have a listing of options at my web site...

If you decide to stay at the Radisson, you might want to watch the folks loading onto the shuttles on Saturday morning to head out on the Magic. Might get you excited to share in their excitement.

Hi Wdwenthusiast. My recommendation for friday evening - providing you have the energy - would be to take an airboat ride at The Lone Cabbage Fish Camp. I believe they offer an all-you-can-eat barbeque with live country music the first and third Saturday evening of each month. My son and I have yet to make it there for their Saturday evening shindig, but the airboat ride was both informative AND a lot of fun!

On a side note, you live in a truly beautiful area. I have spent an occasional day or so in Bellingham on my way to/from visiting friends in the Deming area. Upon arrival at their home I usually spend my first several hours chopping wood for the cooking/heating stove. Always an enjoyable visit...
