HI all. This is going to be a weekly post as long as we go to WDW every week. A little backgraound for those who don't know me from the Communuty Board. My name is Sherri (Dax is my Nick). I work for tech support in Tampa for Verizon Employees. I am also a Premium Annual Passholder which means I get full access to everything 365 days a year. I just received a new schedule from work giving me off Wed, Thurs and Fri. One of those days will be spent at WDW most likely in some form or another. I will do a report of each time we go. Please comment and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. So on with this weeks report...

We decided that Thurs 5/10 would be the best time to go due to having other errands on Wed and Fri. Was up kinda late on Wed nite and slept in on Thurs. I have been suffering from a headache and cold too so that hasn't helped much. Got up about 11:45 on Thurs and got myself ready to go. Normally I let my FDH(future dear husband) sleep but he got up too and we were ready in about half hour. We have been sitting on passes for the movies at Universal for a while so we headed to Orlando to see a 2:15 showing of Mummy Returns. By the time we got through the superlong walk to Citywalk and got our tickets it was 2:20. Oh well. Only missed like one preview. Movie was good and quiet!! Loved it. We stopped at Chick-fil-a for dinner and were off to WDW by 5:45. After driving around for 15 mins trying to get to the parking lot we finally got to TTC and got on a standing room only express monorail only to be told that there would be a delay due to putting another monorail on the line. We were off in about 5 mins and crowded into the park. We headed off to Jungle Cruise and saw a half hour wait. Decided to check it later. We then passed Pirates of Carribean and went to Splash Mountain..70 mins
:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: We passed!! We continued on and were going to go to Tom Sawyer but it was closed:( Drat. Next Stop..Haunted Mansion..13min wait:rolleyes: I have yet to figure out if this is deliberate or not. We went on and saw the 999 Grim Grinning Ghosts and picked up our hitchiker. If only we could find a way to get him to give money for our budget. On our way through Fantasyland we bypassed IASM and walked into Lion King. This was a first for me and I HIGHLY enjoyed it. I am a huge Lion King fan so this was worth it. That over we continued to Tommorow land..(Paging Mr. Morrow..Mr Tom Morrow!!) and decided to watch Skippy get fried..poor Skippy. Love this ride!!! By now the 9pm Spectro was about to start so we tried to get around the crowds and finally made it back to Adventureland for my first nightime ride on Jungle Cruise. It was a walk on. Lame jokes and all Ginger was funny. Memorable line-Did you know that I am a botanist? Would you like me to point out some of the plant life? Look there some there. Oh, and there is some dark green kind there. And along the bank is some more...Too Funny. By now the parade was in full swing so we decided to do our normal ride on Splash. It too was a walk on and we also had a private boat. We went to the Laughing Place and back and made a silly face on the way to the Briar Patch. Never did see how it turned out though. Next Stop..Big Thunder Railroad. It to was a walk on. When we got off we reliezed it was 9:50 and we better hightail it to Tommorow land if we wanted to ride Space Mountain. We did make it with 5 mins to spare. There was a short 5 min wait and the ride let out at about 10:10. Now normally we will wait for the crowds to die down before heading to the car but my FDH decided to leave right away:confused:  And we paid for it. Took 10 mins to go down Main Street. When we got out...a SEA OF PEOPLE. There was a huge line of people for both monorail and all boats out. We jumped on the resort monorail and it was packed too. We got off at Poly and got a french fry and soda and tried to wait out the crowds. We then walked over to TTC but did stop and castle gaze as I like to call it. For some reason it was not chnaging colors..  Oh well. When we arrived at TTC there was still a SEA OF PEOPLE waiting for a tram so we walked to the Goofy lot(first time parking there!) and headed for home. We were going to got to PI but ot was midnight and I think FDH's head was bothering him still so home we went.

A few complaints-
 Strollers!!. Ok I understand you need them. But do you relieze HOW MUCH ROOM those take up on the monorail? I also was run over numerous times by the strollers the size of a small car. Please fold them when getting on the monorail and yield to pedestrians too.
:o Crowds. I thought this was the off season?
 Trams. I think they were running short. I have never seen crowds like that an hour after close waiting for trams.
 JC change. They took out the gun part altogether!! Why??? I am not going to argue it.

Well thats it for this week. Hope you all stuck through to the end. Thanks for reading

spy.......We too love the little Alien......Skippy......thanks a million for the mini day report........:jester: look forward to many more.......

Thanks for your weekly reports!

By the way, the 13 min wait posted on The Haunted Mansion IS on purpose. The Tower of Terror always lists 13 min too when there is little or no wait. A little Disney joke, though it took me awhile to get it too!

Hey! Followed you r link from the CB!
Didn't know you did this! Will check it out more often!
Thanks!

Poor Skippy I hate when he gets fried!

I followed your link from the Community Board too and read your report. :D How neat that you'll be able to go to WDW every week!!! :)

Dax I have not been over to the Trip Report board lately. This is great that you will be doing a weekly report. I will have to visit more often. :)

Thanks for posting! Can't wait to read your reports every week...

how neat to be able to go so often! couldn't imagine not
getting up early and running our the door in the am but
being able to just go for a couple of hours at night!
Looking forward to more reports!

Just got back from our honeymoon yesterday from a May 7th - May 14th Disney vacation. We had a wonderful time and I plan to post about it, but just don't have the time right now.

Anyway, just wanted to agree completely with the crowds. I thought May would be non-busy, but I guess I was wrong. I never did get to go on Peter Pans flight because every time we walked by it was a 55+ minute wait and I always had a fastpass to something else there. My wife wanted to go on Dumbo (we're young adults, but who cares?) and the sign said 30 minute wait, but I timed it and it took close to an hour. I couldn't believe it! We enjoyed our Dumbo flight eventually. :)

I second the strollers. What is the matter with kids today.. can't they walk? When I was little with my parents I had to actually use my legs to circulate around the Disney parks. Another thing that is upsetting is the amount of lazy people using those powered carts. Half those people look like they can walk, but are lazy. These strollers and carts clog up the walkways and make the attraction lines slower because of mounting/dismounting and moving them around. I couldn't believe how annoying it was to move around quickly because of these things. I also dislike people that stop short in the middle of walkways to talk, look at a map or scratch their butt. It just irks me.

Ok flame off.. overall we had a super time though and I hope to post our story within the next few days. :)

DisneyJedi- We too are a young couple. He is 24 almost 25 and I am 23. I have drug him on all the kiddie type rides except Dumbo because I know it is impossible to get on in a timely manner. Maybe at closing sometime. I also have gripes about the ECV. I understand some NEED them but NOT Everyone. Yes and people just stopping in the middle of the walkway irks me too. I try not to post that kind of stuff when we go but sometimes it just gets so bad I feel I have to rant a bit..

Thank you to everyone for the positive feedback. I look forward to being your WDW weekly warrior...hmmm maybe I will add that to my sig instead..LOL

Dax. I just turned 25 on May 7th (great way to start a honeymoon with a bday huh?) and my wife is 22 now. We may have crossed paths this past week. 6 days in the parks was great! We had to keep coming back to Magic Kingdom. I'd say it was our most favorite park of all.

Oh my gosh was thursday night crowded for spectro and fireworks. We were in the Liberty section of the park and a lovely building blocked most of the fireworks, but we had prime spots for the parade. We staked out a spot about an hour and 15 minutes early, but when the parade was about to start, 10 minutes before a bunch of non-english speaking people thought they should sit on my feet where I sat on the ground. I had to shoo them away. Geez! Same thing happened sunday afternoon at the magical moments parade. Some Indian family forced us into the sun on the bench in front of the train station when we were there a good 45 minutes before the parade. We're not ones to start a scene, so we moved into the hot sun and got sunburns thanks to them. The worst part was when the parade started and they decided to stand up in front of us.. Arrggg!!! I'll write a book on how to annoy people at Disney sometime. I think I've seen it all. :)
Why are some people so inconsiderate?

I don't remember the trams ever being so full in the 80's when my parents used to bring us to Disney either. What was up with that? Even the ferry was super full after leaving thursday. We waited an hour for that.

One of only two compaints I have about WDW is the STROLLER problem.

I know there are a lot of people who need them, but there should be a test to qualify.. for example, if your child's legs do not fit in the WDW strollers without them having to BEND their knees, they are TOO BIG for them.

No exageration I saw at least 6 kids on this past Sunday before the 3pm parade that were at LEAST 10 years old. One girl was at least 13.

On Wednesday at AK we saw what must have been a 200 pound 15 year old being pushed by his mother...I'm not joking.

I think some people just bring them / rent them to use them as crowd control.
