A Darling Family Halloween Trip to Neverland (and Peter Pan Came Too)

It's time to put this trip report to bed!

So after meeting Duffy we were off to Canada for lunch. That is right! We had an ADR at Le Cellier. It wasn’t quite time yet though so we poked around Canada for a while. We found a place I didn’t even know existed.

Anyone ever been up here? It’s a nice quiet place at the top of the Canada pavilion. We browsed around the shop for a bit and then headed back down. We stopped for another picture.

We headed towards the restaurant and passed the lovely gardens. These may be the prettiest gardens on property.

IMG_0984.jpg

I checked us in while DH and the kids went to find DH’s favorite waterfall on property. Here they are returning from the brief excursion.

IMG_0985.jpg

Before we knew it we were being escorted into the cellar. We’ve eaten here before and love it. Mostly because of the pretzel bread and soup. This time did not disappoint either. Here are the boys waiting for their food.

IMG_0987.jpg

I didn’t take many food pictures. Wendy, however, insisted taking this shot of her dessert.

Looks yummy. There are a couple of other things I noticed when I looked at this picture. First of all I love the maple crème brulee that I’m eating (that is me in the Minnie shirt.), but look how close the tables are together. The person in the white to my left is sitting at the next table.:confused3 You would think she is sitting right next to me. (She basically is.) The table was a woman bringing her daughter for her birthday. They were very nice which is good cause our tables were on top of each other. Crazy! It was a great meal and we all rolled ourselves out. The kids decided they wanted to make a mask like they have in the past. When we got to the mask making station we discovered they no longer make masks. Now we color Duffys. This was fabulous news for my boys and they happily complied.

It was time to exit Canada so we walked towards England and I took this picture

IMG_0994.jpg

We decided to head into the toy store to see if we could meet the Pooh characters. We walked into what was once a toy store. In its place we saw this.

IMG_0997.jpg

I have no idea when the Toy Soldier store was taken over by the Beatles and other English rock bands.:confused3 There was only one small corner of toys left. Here they are.

What hadn’t changed was the meet ‘n greet for our Seven Acre Woods pals. We had lots of fun with them this day.

I'm not sure what DH is doing in that last picture. I think he may be trying to sit like Tigger.

Our flight time was approaching so we decided we better head out. On our way out we stopped for a quick chat with a nanny.

IMG_1001.jpg

We also made one last stop to chat with our old friend Stitch.

Photo0215FourBySix.jpg

Stitch was being his usual self this day. He came right up to me and took the Duffy Stick I was holding on to. He used it as a backscratcher.

IMG_1004.jpg

Then he decided we must have his autograph.

IMG_1005.jpg

The boys loved all his antics, of course. Then we hopped in the car, drove to the airport and had an uneventful flight home. It was a short trip, but a great one. And we are going back down in less than a month! The next trip will include a 26.2 mile run so it might be a tad bit different.;) Stay tuned for that report! Thanks to everyone for following along on this one.:grouphug:

I can tell by the look on the kids faces that they were super excited to meet Duffy the Bear. It's always fun meeting a new character and Duffy looks like a cute one to meet.

I love the pictures with Tigger, especially the bouncy ones.

Lucky you going back to Disney so soon. I've still got five months to go.

I think the bathroom is the 2nd best part of Kidani. (The best part is the animals, of course.) I did know there is a Duffy outfit for every Pavilion. My boys want to collect all the outfits. Another example of Disney Marketing at its best:rolleyes:

I think he looks really cool in his international outfits, I'm half tempted to collect a few myself :teeth:

Loving your update, looks like you had lots of fun. Canada really is beautiful and so overlooked.

Le Cellier does get crazy busy doesn't it and they just cram you in there, but its great food :)

Cool Pooh and Friends pics, love the last photo of you all :)

Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us, has been so much fun to read along :goodvibes

I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience with the marathon! I have run several half marathons, but have yet to tackle the beast that is the marathon.

Loving all your pictures! The resort looks gorgeous. That was interesting about changing the pool color. Too bad. It sounds like it would've been pretty nifty the way it was before!

You can really see how much they enjoyed Duffy. I'm learning so much from your TR, too. I didn't realize the masks were gone, or that the Toy Shop had changed so much. :confused3 Why would they do such a thing? It doesn't really make sense to me like this. Very odd.. The family pic with Pooh & Tigger was adorable though!

Soo glad you have another trip coming up soon! I love following along on your TRs! :goodvibes

Aww it's over??? Great report. I'm looking forward to the next one. I think I said this before but my cousin is taking his wife and kids since he is going to do the marathon too. We're going to have to give them some pointers at Christmas. haha

Love all your pictures around Canada!:thumbsup2 That's one of the countries in Epcot we have yet to explore.:confused3 There's another reason to head back.....one of many!

Cute Pooh and Tigger pictures!! What great interaction with Stitch! That's very cool that you color Duffys now. My boys will definitely like that.:thumbsup2

Aww...so sad your report is over. I really enjoyed reading it! It definitely confirms that we will have to try and go during Halloween sometime. MNSSHP looked like so much fun!! Can't wait until your next report!!:goodvibes

The boys had lots of fun with Duffy and Tigger that day! Those five months will just fly by (especially because you have a wedding to plan):goodvibes

Canada is an underappreciated pavillion. Lots of nooks and crannies with very few people. Have a great time in Disneyland Paris!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience with the marathon! I have run several half marathons, but have yet to tackle the beast that is the marathon.
I've done 3 half marathons, but I can tell you beast is the right word for the full! The training is killing me. I have my 20 miler tomorrow:scared1: That is the longest I go before the race. I am pretty much terrified. Once I cross that finish line I can make a HUGE check off the bucket list!

I really don't like the rock groups taking over the toy store either:confused3 I guess they figure they can sell more merchandise. Hopefully it doesn't work out and they are back to toys soon. Thanks for coming along on the ride:goodvibes

I bet your cousin will leave me in the dust! I'm just shooting to beat Al Roker's time. He finished in 7 hours 10 minutes.

You can always find reasons to head back;) We had great character interaction this day. I highly recommend Halloween time. The party was great. The crowds weren't bad and the weather was awesome! Too bad the kids have school or we'd go for long trips in October every year.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip! I'm looking forward to reading about your next trip.

Hi Jenny :wave2:

I finally got through your June TR (you had so much fun without any grouwnups ;)) and now through this one - sounds like it was a great weekend except for your brief illness :thumbsup2

Good luck with the rest of your marathon training, can't wait to hear how it goes!

Lara

Hi there! That June trip was so much fun! I'll always be a bit nostalgic about that time with my boys. As you can tell the Halloween trip was fun too, but short. Thanks for the luck with the marathon training. I am now officially in the taper period which feels great!

It always makes me sad to see TR's end, especially when I haven't had time to Dis. But, guess I'll be reading a new one from you soon.;)

As usual love all the photopass pics. Disney sure has a great marketing team, Duffy everywhere.

I can't wait to try Le Cellier. And I was surprised to see you hadn't been in that area of Canada before.

And I know what you mean about AK giving Epcot a run for the money. Most people don't take the time to really explore AK, it is beautiful and really does have a lot to do, just have to take your time to explore.

Great update:thumbsup2

I admire anyone who can run a marathon! I can't wait to hear all about it!! Hope you had a great Christmas my friend:hug:

What a great trip!
Do you have a PTR for the marathon trip? Or will you do a trip report?

Amanda

Can't believe you've never tried Le Cellier. It makes sense though because you live close enough that you don't need to make dining plans 6 months in advance:laughing: Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

After all of this training I have done I admire anyone that runs a marathon too! It has been crazy, but it is almost here. I'm going to be quite proud of myself.

What a great trip!

Amanda
I don't have a PTR for the marathon trip. Just never got around to starting one. I'd like to do a trip report, but we shall see. I teach at the local college and so I'll have to go back to work right after I get back from the trip. Makes it hard to find time for a trip report. Much easier to do when we take the June trips because I have a lot more time in the summer. If I do one I'll post the link here!

Sounds good! I'm still hoping I somehow get to meet you during marathon weekend!!!

It would be fun to meet in real life. I just posted this on your thread too. We'll be in MK on Friday evening and Epcot on Saturday. Sunday I'll pretty much be out of commission after the race is over. I'll definitely keep a lookout for you!

You guys had such a great time on this trip! Thanks for sharing it with us. :)

Does Liz have a plan for us all to meet up at some point? I'm letting her be my travel agent for this trip. :rolleyes1

Just catching up on some dis-ing. AGAIN!:lmao:
Thanks again for the trip report. REally enjoyed it.
