Prayers and Pixie dust, MissCammie!

and prayers being said. Pass along a
to those kiddos too. I am so glad they have Disney, and I'm so glad they have you.
I use that phrase a lot with the kids I work with...school psychologists are paid the big bucks to come up with terms like that...*ahem*thanks everyone for all your kind thoughts and prayers. They are needed.
I had to laugh at Sally this evening...I was frustrated and irked to pieces over something. She could see me being frustrated and doing my best to keep it together and she said, "Smell the Pizza MissCammie!"I use that phrase a lot with the kids I work with...school psychologists are paid the big bucks to come up with terms like that...*ahem*
I had to laugh at Sally using my own psychology on me.
Sally couldn't get to sleep this evening...even her favorite Beatles CD wasn't doing it for her. She got up and down several times. Finally I climbed in with her and we started talking about Disneyworld. We laughed over the funny things and we wondered what Minnie Mouse was up to. We talked about our Christmas trip. I could feel her relaxing. Then she said to me "MissCammie, I hate divorce."
me too. It's wretched. I wish I could help. I wish I could stop all the fighting. It's just so complicated and messy. I do not understand why it has to be this way. I don't get what happened between last year and this year. Selfishness has replaced reason and the babies are paying for it. The courts are so biased and blind. There is no justice. Only heartache for those who have no control.
I'm in the boat with the kiddos...cuz I'm just the step mom.
all I can do is talk about Disney.
and smell the pizza.
thanks everyone for your kind thoughts...and for reading my ramblings.
Just had to start out with the virtual hugs cause I'm willing to bet you could really use them. Divorce IS ugly and custody battles are the pits...but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I really, sincerely hope things get better for ya'll really soon. It's always nice to have good memories to fall back on when things get tough. And thanks to you and your DH, the kiddos have plenty of those. Keeping you in my prayers Miss Cammie!

it was one of those "moments". The moments when nothing else matters. You just "are". Those moments tend to happen when the frenzied go go GO Disney Pace is put to rest for a few minutes.
I highly recommend those moments. Those are the REAL Disney moments. They are the moments that carry you through the rough stuff months later.
Just last night Sally said to me as I was brushing her wet hair after a shower...and a very long hard day for her..."MissCammie...remember when we were at Disney and you and Daddy were holding hands on the bench and Teddy and I were jumping in the fountain with our new shirts and our crocs on? Remember that? That was a good day."
Yes SallyRally...it sure was.
and I said a prayer of thanks that Sally could still end her day with happy memories of Disney instead of painful moments from the day.

It's so sad that these poor children have to to through this. It's just not right. I have a cousin going through this right now and becuse he's the dad it seems that the courts are not in his favor. Just doesn't make sense. Why not keep things as normal as possible to get the kids through this. I'm sending prayers and
your way. I hope it works out for you all!
