A curious question about the Webmasters

You'll probably laugh about this one, but I'm very curious. Since it takes a ton of work to maintain this site each day, is this your full time job? Do you make your living from the advertisers or is that just a miniscule amount of money and a ridiculous thought? I really have no idea, thanks.

I *think* they webmaster here in addition to another full-time job. Since they are all computer people, that means they probably put in 60 hours at one place a week and 60 hours a week here.

Pete runs Dreamsunlimited Travel and Werner Technologies which does a lot of other web site stuff.
Doc is a dentist (thusly the username)
Penny works full time for a publishing house

When I became a WM I got a 100% pay rise of what I got as a Mod

Penny, so in other words, you do this for the love of Disney and sharing that information? And what exactly is the difference between a Mod. and a webmaster?

Yes Jillpie, that's precisely why I do it

As for the differences between a Mod & a WM - well there are no black & white job specs, but very broadly speaking, Moderators will look after the board(s) they work on in detail, whilst WM's try to look after <i>all</i> the boards, but in a more general sense - dealing more with the site as a whole. Therefore a WM can still be a Moderator of an individual board too.

This is my full time volunteer job.. LOL.. and I love it here.. I have made some great friends talking about Disney, something I have always loved since a small child watching the Wonderful World of Disney and of course I go back to the original Mickey Mouse Club days.. I would rush home from school to watch.. gotta love it.
