A cruise, a birthday, and a little bit of Disney World...April 20-26th..UPDATED 5/17

LOVING your trip report. Take any other pics of the Lego store? looks like I may need to get a loan just for a visit there lol

I bet the treats were delicious :-)

Those are the only 2 pics I got at the Lego Store. My camera was burning through batteries, so I just had my iPhone with me that night. I'm so glad I finally figured out (only after spending almost $50 on batteries :scared1:) that my camera requires the lithium batteries. UGH At least I found that out before the cruise portion!

Great report so far! Nice to see some of my "South of KC" neighbors! Wish they would finish up the contruction on 71 and 150. :)

Can't wait to hear more from your trip!

We're doing CBR for one night before our Magic cruise in July. Waiting to hear more!

Hey everyone, sorry for not updating the trip report in such a long time :rolleyes1

As you can see from my siggy, we have a new vacation to start planning! We have decided to take part in the Dis Unplugged podcast cruise next year. I'm such a big fan of the Dis podcast and am sooooo excited that I get to go :dance3: And I guess i'll let the husband and kids tag along too LOL

Okay, so i'm off, right now, to upload the next days pics so I can get another installment up!!

Tuesday April 21st
So we left off Monday night, the kids and I were discussing what to do the next day. I'm so not used to a Disney trip where the night before we have no idea what we'll be doing the next day! So after much discussion, begging, pleading by the kids, we wound up deciding on....

This was our 5th trip to Disney and we had never spent a day at the water parks. So I gave in. I don't particularly like being in the water. It's just not my thing.
So we got up and headed to the Hess station, where we picked up a very nutritious breakfast of chips and cokes for the kids and a banana nut muffin for me. We headed over to Blizzard Beach. We didn't have tickets yet and I quickly spotted the kiosk to buy them. I'm not sure why no one uses these kiosk. The lines to buy tickets from a CM were quite long. Glad I used the kiosk!
So once the park opened we went straight to the store to rent a locker. Got all of our valuables in the locker, then went to the rope to wait for the official opening. We decided to head to the wave pool area to find some chairs. Found some chairs and the kids headed right in.

Didn't take long before Tristan was done with this and ready to move on to other things.

So once we were able to coax Madi out of the water, we headed up ALL those stairs to ride Teamboat Springs. Okay, i'll admit, this was FUN! It's a big raft that holds about 6 people. We were put with another group of 3 and off we went! Once we finished, we went right back up and rode again. Next we decided to take a spin around Blizzard Beach on the lazy river (Cross County Creek). Quite a nice relaxing ride! It's mostly in the shade, which is great once it gets really hot!
Next we decided to go grab our things and move over to Ski Patrol Training camp. I think the kids would've been happy to have just stayed in this spot the entire day. THey had so much fun!
Here's Madi crossing the icebergs

And Tristan giving it a go

Then they decided to try out the zip line. We saw so many kids nearly get hurt because they did not know to let go at the end of the line. The t bar would hit the end and their feet would fly up nearly to their head :scared1: Thank goodness mine knew to let go!

The kids wanted to do the lazy river again, so I sent them on thier way while I grabbed my iPhone and got on Facebook ;) Had to keep everyone updated when I could! Once they got back, Madi decided she wanted to go again. I shouldn't have let her. Tristan and I had been sunning for some time and I kept thinking she should be back around by now (our chairs were actually right on the lazy river, so I had been watching for her). Anyway, finally I see her exit and come across the bridge. But she never makes it back to us. After about 10 min I check the bathroom, not there. Check the ski patrol play area, not there. Start to panic. Go back to our chairs, Tristan said he still hadn't seen her..crap! So I tell him to stay put and watch for her. I go walking and come across the food place. The people tell me the only way to report a lost child is to go all the way to the front. I walk a bit more and decided to head back to where Tristan was. He still hadn't seen her. So I go to the life guard right there and he said he would report her missing, but just then she just comes walking by like nothing was wrong UGH She still to this day SWEARS she wasn't lost.
So anyway, we were all starving by now. I went over and got hot dogs and chips for us all. The food was okay, just basic Disney fare.
After lunch we grabbed up all of our stuff and decided to head to another part of the park to see what we could find to do. We ended up throwing our stuff down somewhere and jumping in the lazy river for another go around.
After that we found Snow Stormers and the kids just had to ride a few times. I happily sat in the viewing area and relaxed :goodvibes

It was around 2pm now and we were getting pretty worn out. We headed towards the front and Tristan decided he just HAD to do the lazy river one more time. Madi was wanting ice cream, so we sent him on the lazy river and she enjoyed her itzakadoozi while waiting. Once he was done we headed to our locker to empty it out and return our key. Now it was time to head back to CBR for a much needed nap!

Ohhh makes me wish we were there right now.. I love both water parks but this one is most special to me.. I would have died waiting on Madi... would have totally freaked out....

What a fun day!! Brady has that shark towel too! :thumbsup2

Oh she does, how cool! :cool1: Tristan loves that towel LOL

I *knew she was fine, but just lost :headache: But still, a very unsettling feeling. Next time I think we'll try out Typhoon Lagoon, just so we can compare the 2. The kids just loved it, though. I would be happy to sun/nap all day :cool2:

Sounds like such a FUN day (except for Madi getting lost) and looks like an awesome waterpark!!!

After spending the day at Blizzard Beach, we headed back to CBR for some MUCH needed rest! We all showered and napped just a bit. I had a gift card for the Outback Steakhouse, so we headed there for dinner. It was quite yummy! We completely stuffed ourselves :goodvibes
We stopped next door for bottled water for the cruise and MORE batteries! I could not belive I was burning through batteries so quick! Thank goodness the next day I figured out I needed one of those special batteries.
After we left I just didn't want to go back to the hotel, I NEEDED more Disney LOL So we drove over to the Boardwalk. It was so nice out, we spent a good hour walking the Boardwalk. We started at one end and made our way all the way over to the International Gateway to Epcot. Oh I wanted to go in SOOOOO badly! Epcot is really I think my favorite park. I can't wait to go back! Here's some pics from our stroll.

We took the boat from Epcot back to the Boardwalk. We got off just in time to catch this funny guy-

We made our way back to the car and drove 'home'. Madi wanted to swim, Tristan wanted to watch tv. So I took Madi to the pool right outside our room and Tristan stayed in the room. It was quite cool this night, I had about 3 or 4 pool towels using them as blankets LOL I only let Madi swim for about 45 min then we headed back to the room. I had to pack up our stuff since we were moving over to Animal Kingdom Villas for one night in the morning
