A couple questions from a non planner..

DH and I are cruising with DD and her best friend on the Wonder in May. Since we just did the Labor Day DD, I had no intention of another Disney cruise this year, but I got it cheap ( booked a CAT 12 for 4 for 947 ) so, Wonder, here we come!

Question 1- When I get my room assignment, if I choose to try to upgrade at the port, how does that work? I'll be staying at Resort at the Port the night before. I'd like to drive over, check availability and return to ROP if possible. I don't like to get on the ship too early.

Also, is there a way to find out your dining rotations early? I'd like to book Palo, but don't want to miss AP. I loved that restaurant! I don't mind missing the others, but with my luck, I'd book Palo on the only night I'd be disappointed by.

You will not find out your dining rotation until you check in. It is just not possible, though a few CMs at the 800# will tell you otherwise...they are wrong about this. In order to get an upgrade at the port you will have to be there early when it opens, plan on 10 am. However, if you drive you will have to park to get into the terminal and that means you will need to prepay the parking fee for the length of the cruise. You could get out of the terminal if you wanted but I do not know if you could get out of the lot and then back in with your car. Is there a shuttle available at ROP that you could use?

ROP does have a shuttle. So, I can take the shuttle over, upgrade ( if possible ) and take the shuttle back?
