A couple question for a newbie!!

I havent been here forever!! I learnt so much to plan our first trip with from this board. We went to DW in sept 2000 and loved it and now we are just starting to consider a trip for our ten year anniversary, for Nov, 2003.

We stayed at The HIFS, so havent ever stayed onsite.

How far in advance does Disney start alowwing ressies?? Also about how much are their all star resorts, and is their a good chance of getting a discount off rack rates??
Do codes come out for the general public and how would I find out about one if so?

Disney4me, I don't have any answers, just wanted to say hi and to say we were at wdw in Sept 2000, too!

I'd like to know how far in advance to make the ressies, too.

All-Stars is the least expensive of the resorts. I'm not sure when you're going, but I know late summer last year they had some good deals (I believe some dates were as low as $29/night or $39/night! I think they normally start at $59/night, though, but I'm not sure about that).

The best source for discount codes on the net is at www.mousesavers.com. Plus, they have all the regular rates so you can tell what kind of a deal you're getting.

Hi Disney4me!

We made our reservations for our November 2002 trip in June of 2001, so I know they'll take them at least a year and a half in advance. We booked early in part because we wanted to ensure that we got the Disney Club discount, but also partly because we wanted the visual confirmation that we were going back. If nothing better comes up with Mousesavers or our annual passes, then we'll at least have this amount. Enjoy your trip planning!

Welcome back to DIS, disney4me!

As far as discounts on the All-Stars, the lowest I've heard of has been $49.00, which we got last October when travel to Disney was really slow. We loved the resort (especially for the price), and we are big fans of staying on-site!

As far as when to book your trip, I don't think it's at all too early to book for 2003. I think November is a great time to visit, and by booking early, you have the best chance to get into the resort you want! (Plus, as others have said, you'll have something to look forward to, which is at least half the fun!)
