A couple of quick southwest ?

I am getting ready to book SWA for the first time. There will be six of us. Should I book one ticket at a time so I can check in on line? We will have two in carseats. So should I not go through this hassle because we'll probably preboard? I'm sorry one more question Our party consists of 3 adults, a 14 month old, a 2 year old and an 8 year old. If we preboard would they just allow My sister and I to board with the toddlers and then my husband would have to wait and board with our 8 year old or would they let us all preboard. I am buying a seat for the 14 month old if that makes a difference. TIA

Flying out - you'll definitely get to preboard - and Manchester has the best preboarding policies - they even allow our group kids to preboard together on school trips after the regular preboards are done - they just ask us to head to the back and not leave any empty seats. Unfortunately, the other airports we've flown home from haven't been so nice - of course, it was the flight attendant's loss - then you've got jr. high kids scattered all over the plane without chaperones!

Flying home from MCO, you will be allowed to at least preboard the two little ones with car seats - there, your DH and daughter may have to wait, but maybe not. In any case - you can just set up your car seats and sit to save the two extra seats you need for them - so I wouldn't worry about it.

Just keep the ressie together - much less hassle keeping track of one number instead of 6!

I noticed that you are from New Hampshire and I am assuming that you are flying out of Manchester. We just used SWA out of Manchester for the first time in June. Our party included my husband and me, my mother in law, our 3 year old twins and our five year old. I was nervous because I was afraid they wouldn't let the 5 year old preboard and that my husband would have to board later with him. They let us all preboard except my mother in law. If one of the toddlers is your sister's child and the other toddler belongs to you and your husband you will most likely all get to pre-board. If all the children belong to your family, I think your sister will have to board separately. We arrived 2 hours in advance and my mother in law was able to get an A boarding pass. We were the first people in the boarding area. We booked all of our reservations together since we knew most of us would most likely preboard. We weren't overly concerned about having to split up because not too many people will want to sit in the same row next to people with small children.

I have flown out of PVD and MCO with my daughter's family. There were 7 of us daughter, husband, 4yr old, twins 2yrs, my husband and me and we never had a problem. We did have 3 car seats. I guess it depends on how crowded the plane is. I think they try to make things easy for you. Also I don't think we asked we just got on the pre board line up in the front, but maybe someone else can tell you about that.

If you use two carseats you will be able to get a minimum of 2 adults and 2 children onto the plane for preboarding, and they may let the other 2 on at the same time. Skip the carseats and they may deny preboarding altogether, especially at MCO.
