We're a family of 3 and we are seriously thinking about buying a resale since we are moving this year from Europe to California. I have been reading this board for weeks and think I have all my doubts already solved, but for a couple of them:
Is it a good choice to become annual pass holders if we're going like 3 times a year? And if I read it right, there is no way to book your DVC vacation via internet, just by phone right? Thanks a lot guys!

;) The best I can tell from reading here...An AP will help you if you are staying 8 (I think) days or longer, using PH. DH and I purchased them this year. We went 112/01-12/10, and then will go 5/1-5/8 and 10/28-11/04. In 2012 we will go but will probably not need annual passes. DH and I purchased the vouchers for our APs on line and got the DVC discount, then turned the vouchers in our first morning at AK Guest Relations. We also bought the TIW card right after purchasing the AP, since we needed those to get it.

You can request a reservation online at the DVC website but it can take up to 3 days to hear back. Other than that you need to call MS, online reservations are coming.

I hope this is correct info and helps. Have great trips !!

I haven't done the math lately but I think the value for a AP is more than 10 days in the parks in one year. 3 years ago I bought a 10 no expiration, park hopper & more ticket. We still have 1 park visit left and 6 & more days. We go twice a year but we don't go to the parks everyday.
They keep telling us soon for on-line booking.

I think the value point for us of an AP is closer to 10 days. There are some other advantages to the AP as well. For example, DVC members currently receive a discount on AP's. AP's are able to purchase the Tables in Wonderland card for $75 if interested.
If you happen to stay offsite a night, you can use your AP for free parking at the parks. And there are often hotel and merchandise discounts.

Thank you everyone! Usually our vacation is 14 days in august and 10 days in late october (or december) so it seems an AP will work fine for us :cheer2: Thanks again!
