We will be checking into BCV next weekend and my sister and her husband will also be at WDW the same time, but staying elsewhere. Can they join us SAB? Or do all guests to SAB need to have a YC/BC/BCV resort ID?

This will also be our first trip with an infant, our DS will be 5 mos old...do you know if the kitchen sink in a 1 BR is large enough to bathe a baby or do I have to pack a baby tub? And since we will have the baby I will be preparing bottles and using the dishwasher every day, will housekeeping provide extra dishwasher detergent free of charge or should I bring my own?

Thanks!

Our IDs when we stayed at the BCVs last week weren't checked, but I know you are supposed to be BCV guests to use the pool.

The kitchen sink is certainly deep enough to bathe a baby in, and wide enough too, but not to fully recline them. You'd have to cradle them a bit to rinse their hair, but may I make a suggestion...

Use the master bedroom's whirlpool tub and bathe with the baby. I was in there two nights with my two boys (age 3 and age 1). The three year old sat up and played on his own, and I just held the baby. It was so fun :goodvibes

As I said, the kitchen sink should work for you. I'm just a little leary of kitchen sinks. FYI...there is no sprayer on the sink. If you do use the sink, scrub it down first and rinse well :) Oh, and I do think you can request a baby tub for the room, but someone else would have to confirm that. Good luck!

If your other family members are staying at a Disney resort, you could easily pool hop over to that pool as long as it isn't AKL. Technically, though, SAB is for the guests of YC/BC/BCV only.

But, if it is only the four of you and the baby, you will be within the occupancy of the room. So you could get a room key for your guests.

We have been allowed to get room keys up to the room occupancy limit in order to bring guests to the pool in the past. Just inquire at the front desk.

At SAB - we had my Sister and BIL amd Nephew join us as our guest. That was all that they needed to hear. Didn't have to get room keys etc..I think if the pool isn't at full capacity it should be ok.

Everybodys covered the kitchen sink so I'll do the dishwasher- We got 2 packs of single use dishwashing powder when we stayed Jan at BCV. I say put some dishwasher tablets in a zip lock bag and take it with you. This and a zip lock bag of laundry detergent (I double bag this) will easily fit inside a pair of packed shoes.

Have fun! Jean and Bob

My DD was 6 mos when did the 1BR at BCV - used the tub with no problem (versus sink). Previous posters are correct - sink's a single basin w/ no sprayer. Much prefered the tub (both DD and myself/wife).

BYO suds for dishwasher/clothes washer is best. You might ask Mousekeeping for an "extra" if you get in a pinch with the TSA not letting you bring the soap on board the aircraft.
