A Couple Last Minute Questions

Hello

I have a couple questions, we are leaving in a few days. The first question is do the booster seats in the dinning rooms have lap belts to help hold the child in? I really do not want to bring mine if I don't have to.

The second question is, how much do you generally leave extra for your service team and cabin attendant when they do a good job? We always leave something, but I never know how much to leave. And do you always leave something for Main Server?

Thanks!

No the booster seats are the brown plastic ones that sit on a chair. They have a strap to attach the seat to the chair but not the child to the seat. They always make me nervous but unheeded this time because my daughter actually sat in hers without wiggling around at all. She's going to be 3 in April for a frame of reference on age :).

For extra I have no idea what the norm is but I think we left $20 extra for server and assistant server, nothing for the head server cause he really didn't do anything and $20 for the cabin attendant.

For the booster, you may try using a belt around the child's waste and the chair. I have friends that do this when we go out and it works pretty well.

We also gave a extra $20. I would have given more if my budget allowed me, but an additional $60(server, assistant and stateroom) was all the more I could do. Most come from very poor countries so anything extra you give would be appreciated.

I try to give them an extra $5 per day if they do a good job. They almost all have families and it makes me sad that they have to be away from their families for so long yet they always maintain a cheerful and helpful attitude. In the past I haven't left anything for the head server, but on our NYE cruise on the Wonder the head server, Paolo, was really excellent. He had some little squeaker thing and he'd come over and make the kids "squeak" when he touched them. My 7 year old daughter and some of her friends spent about 15 minutes with him one night trying to figure out how he was making them squeak. He would also come around and clear things off the table of refill drinks- really anything that needed to be done. I've never seen a head server do that before, so I was impressed. As others have stated, I think anything above the recommended is greatly appreciated.

Welp, I guess we'll be bringing our folding booster seat! <adds to already ridiculous packing list>

I hear ya!!!! Packing this time stressed me right out. The belt around child and chair sounds like a good idea? We used a high chair for a couple of days but she was just too big for it. Much happier in the booster.
