A couple Basic questions

I have had someone ask me a couple general questions about DFTW and I dont want to give out the wrong info so I thought I would check with you guys.

For you to book a wedding at
WDW, do they require you to have a minimum 4-nt stay at a Disney resort?

And also, in the wedding chapel, what's the maximum number of guests you can invite?

Yes you do have to book a min. 4 night stay at any Disney Resort (it used to be that it had to be moderate or deluxe but they've changed that)

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that The WP can hold 300 guests

The 4 night min. is only for intimate weddings, custom weddings aren't required to have a 4 night min. stay, but they have to meet room blocks.

Does anyone know what happens if you don't meet the room blocks? Do they ever waive them if you come close?

Good question, Malibelle. I was wondering the same thing. I'm worried about making my room block numbers too, 'cuz a lot of my family lives in Central Florida.

the 4 night minimum only applies to intimate weddings. with a custom wedding there is a room block minimum. if you dont meet your room block minimum you will not receive your 1 free/comp night at your hotel not sure if theres any other loss/restriction as we meet our block.

as for the wedding pavilion it seats 300.

I called and spoke with a Sales manager about not meeting the room requirements today. SHe told me we would have to pay for the remaining rooms but at the lowest price. SHe didn't mention about giving up your honeymoon suite. I would much rather give up the suite.
