A cool WDW tidbit to share....

Both of my DSs will be marching through Magic Kingdom next week with the high school band. We had a meeting tonight and the band director said a few neat things I never knew. First he said that while the band waits for the parade, they are behind the scenes with all the CMs. It is dark and practically no Disney magic where you wait until.....these huge doors open and all the bright lights and magic suddenly appear. He also said that he had to sign a paper that stated that no one would share any Disney secrets they saw while waiting backstage.

It sounds SO cool!! I can't wait to see them!

I was told there would be a place where they stop and play for 2 minutes. I am to ask a CM where the spot is.

Exactly when are they marching? You know, I get teary-eyed whenever I see a high school band marching at WDW. DS was in High School band (didn't get to perform at WDW, but he's older now and just finished a summer "gig" at DL). I'll be there next week and would love to see them. So exactly when? What does your DS play? And if you see some stranger woman, alone, crying-that's me! I can't get over how excited they must be!

It was a special time for us. My DS marched at the magic kindom in 1999 and 2002, it was wonderful and still a great memory for all of us.

Yes, being backstage at Disney can be a pretty cool thing! Mind you they wont let you have a camera, so look around while you can. Remember......at all costs............"Preserve the Magical experience"

Have your kid tell us what he sees! Contracts cannot be enforced against minors! So, anything your kid signs means that he can hold WDW's feet to the fire (a minor can enforce the contract against the other party), but they can't do a gosh darn thing to him. It doesn't matter what he signs!

Unless your one of those good moms who wants their child to grow up to be honorable, and honor his word...you wouldn't be one of those, would you?
