I just called to reserve a cruise in Dec- we'll be on one this week & i thought I read somewhere on here that if you have an exsisting reservation that you could apply the onboard booking credit to that one & use the original price? I asked the CM & he said no & then when I told him I wanted to reserve this one anyway & I'd cancel if I was able to get one on the ship he, very curtly, told me I had to put a deposit on this one. I asked to make sure that I had the full 7 days to make my decision(perfect for me as we'll be back next sun) & he said yes- but if I hadn't said anything I think he would have asked me for my CC info & made me put a deposit. All in all not a pleasurable expirience- but anyhow-- So is it true? Can I not use that price to rebook? Also, this time around we booked a GTY room & ended up with an upgrade- the CM gave me a room assignment- should I leave it that way or ask for gty? Thanks for any advice & for listening to me ramble! :D

Yo P49 why make things hard on yourself....

just wait until u are on the cruise THIS WEEK and book it on board u will get the stateroom credit and the Discount....

If u are afraid of not getting a room for the cruise u want
then call Disney cruise line and make a reservation ... BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE U ANY DISCOUNT OVER THE PHONE ,
... AND THEY DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING WITH THE RESERVATION U HAVE ONBOARD..... SUCH AS APPLY THE DISCOUNT AND THE CREDIT TO IT... SO

IT COMES DOWN TO THIS
WAIT UNTIL U GET ON THE SHIP GET DISCOUNT OR CALL TODAY AND NO DISCOUNT.....

Since it is your FIRST cruise U HAVE NOT sailed they do not have to give it to u it is for onboard booking reservations only ....

Now if u book on the cruise this week u can then transfer it to another DATE...

have a great trip Peter

Are you moving your existing reservation booked with the onboard discount? - that's what they will let you do. Booking a new reservation, nope, you'll have to do that when you sail.

Regarding the price at the time you booked your original cabin, that all depends on the cost of the time you are cruising. Some weeks...especially during the holidays...cost alot more than other off season weeks in December. I would definantly just make your reservation on the ship this week.
