A Christmas Extravaganza of auditions, adventures & new friends!-Updated 8/28x3!!

Joining in! I love reading about auditions. And congrats about becoming a CM!

And I am totally jealous of the frozen vinylmations. Those are adorable.

I love Frozen - but I always feel like I have to shut off my mind when watching it, otherwise I'm just like...how does this even make sense. Disney magic, I guess? Anyways, can't wait for more!

Hey ya'll! Happy Tuesday!! I hope you're having a great month of May so far! We (surprise) got another snow fall earlier this week, but it seems to be nearly all melted now…hopefully it STAYS that way!! Two things to share with ya before we start the update.

#1: Here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF4Djo2Hgc8 Is a video of some of the best moments of Steven & I's most recent trip down to Disney, just for fun.

#2: In just 2 weeks & 2 Days, Jenna & I take off for an amazing adventure down in Disney World, and that Pre Trip report is here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3267624

Check those out for some fun times!!

You know when that’s your view entering somewhere that you’re somewhere awesome and magical…AM I RIGHT?! Like, seriously, I cannot express how amazingly happy I was to be walking down Main Street again. Yes, it had been just over a month since I’d last been to Disney, and before that, it had been just under a month, but it’s home, it’s where I belong. People have asked so many times “why Disney?” and now I simply answer by saying “you know that feeling when you go somewhere and you take a big sigh of relief and you and your heart just know you’re home? That’s why!”

Steven and I took that breath of fresh air filled with magic, popcorn and cinnamon and made our way through the park. We’d discussed what we’d want to do, and obviously, characters were the main priority of any of our trips, and since Steven had bought an Ursula shirt from Tren-D and since changed into it, we decided a certain mermaid visit was in order!! In total it looks like we waited 20 minutes, which isn’t too bad, and once we got into the grotto, we realized that it was the same Ariel that we’d met back in Oct when Steven was dressed as Ursula at MNSSHP!

She obviously, noticed the shirt right away and was all “uhhh…hi… I don’t really like your shirt” Which is fair, I mean, Ursula did steal her voice and make her 3 days on land not an easy journey!

As we talked I think she started to gradually recognize us, partially as Steven was reminding her that we’d seen her at MNSSHP, and she did actually remember us! Yay! I noticed that once again, while talking to Steven, she was actually half holding onto his wrist/magic band…like she had with the tentacles of the costume in Oct.

Ariel was happy that Steven had downgraded from Halloween, and that she could definitely deal with a shirt, but she still didn’t really like it. It was a great interaction to start off with!

Steven & I made our way out of the Grotto and once the wireless connected, I got a message from Amanda, she was in the area, and her friend who she’d been hanging out with was off to rehearsal, the perfect time to meet up! With not too much of a solid plan, we decided that over to the Princess Fairytale Hall we’d go! Surprisingly, even though Rapunzel was a mutal favorite among all of us, we headed into the other side of the building, the line for the other two is just SO MUCH SHORTER ALL THE TIME!

I don’t have any notes written down but “Sassy Steven” so, I’m sure that Cinderella wasn’t that impressive, and once we got over to Aurora, I know the sass came out!

I know Steven said something along the lines of “you’re my second least favorite princess” to her, jokingly of course, Aurora was a much better interaction than Cindy, that’s for sure lol!

By the time we were done with the princesses, we were starting to realize that it had been seriously way too long since any of us had eaten, and figured that should really be the next stop we made!

Fantasyland has a pretty good variety of food, and since we didn’t want to go far, Amanda, Steven & I ended up over at Pinnochio’s Village Haus, which was great as that’s where I’d been wanting to eat at least once this trip! Lol. I got the Caprese Flatbread:

Along with an All Natural Lemonade to drink, seriously, that stuff is beyond amazing!

I picked up another balsamic dressing from the toppings bar to put on the flatbread as the last time I’d had it I thought it needed more balsamic, problem being that the dressing they have out in packets is dressing, and on the flatbread, it’s more of the balsamic vinegar, so it didn’t taste too much the same, but that’s okay, it was still tasty!

Steven got the BBQ Chicken Flatbread, and I’m pretty sure Amanda had the chicken fingers and fries, but I could be wrong.

Steven didn’t say anything about the pizza at the time, but last week he was all “I’m not getting that again that’s for sure” so I assume that it wasn’t too great, bahaha! Nonetheless, we had some food and it filled us up happily at the time. Steven & I had booked fast pass plusses for Peter Pan’s Flight that evening, and it was time for them! We figured that we’d at least attempt to SEE what would happen with Amanda and if they’d let her through the line, and if not, then she’d just wait for us. See, she wasn’t going to head into the parks at all today, but since she was with a cast member friend, they got her in with their pass, so she had no fast passes. For the rest of the week, she’d copied ours over to her band as well. Well, we scanned our bands, and BAM, blue it went. It wasn’t showing up as anyone having fast passes booked, so I started to bring it up on my phone, and the cast member simply changed it and waved us through, including Amanda, SWEET!

We had some time to kill before Wishes & the rest of the evening festivities began, and what better thing to do than take a ride through the skies of Tomorrowland on the Peoplemover! YAY! Amanda commented that we’d done that back in May while waiting for Wishes too! Cute. As we neared towards Space Mtn, I voiced how much I really wanted to be on the Peoplemover when Space’s lights were on, and well…

LOOKS LIKE MY WISHES WERE GRANTED THAT NIGHT!! It was a SUPER delayed reaction from all of us to actually pull out our phones and get some pictures of it, as we hadn’t expected it at all, Space hadn’t looked down when we got on the Peoplemover so it was a GREAT surprise!

TOTALLY WICKED!! Like, seriously, it kinda made me want to actually ride Space with the lights on, but I think I’d be so terrified I’d never open my eyes, like, that’d be just too much for me! The three of us began our walk back over to the hub and found that Celebrate the Magic was already going on as we walked across the Tomorrowland Bridge, which was fine normally, but since all the lights were dimmed we gave up on trying to wedge closer in at all. We did catch some of the Frozen section, and I did enjoy it, I feel like they probably could have done more with it, especially after seeing the “Winter Dreams” part of World of Colour, but with the time they had, it was good!

The lights came up, although super briefly, but just enough for the three of us to squeeze ourselves just far enough into the Hub to catch some magical events!

Like, as if Wishes isn’t gorgeous enough every single day, it was even more amazing with the castle lights on, that castle is just PERFECT AND I LOVE IT!

It was a moving show, as per usual, I teared up of course, bahahaha. It was a big day, I mean, it was the first time watching Wishes from in front of the castle since the first day of the Sept trip, and it’s always nice to see something so incredible after a break from it, makes it even more special and amazing. Wishes is just my heart song, and I just love it! These next two pictures are some of my favorites I managed to capture from that night, just the balance of the balloon, the castle, the lights, and the colours of the fireworks, UGH, MY FEEEEELLLLLIIINNNGGS.

UGH. MY LOVE. MY ONE TRUE LOVE.

But seriously, if this show doesn’t pull at your emotions at least one little bit, then you’re doing Wishes wrong, bahaha.

The good news is you never ever have to explain "Why Disney" here. :)

#awkward Ariel visit Number 2, lol. Also, I immediately had to go back and look at some Ariel photos from my meets because, I can't remember seeing her in a "shirt" before. It just completely struck me as odd.

YAY Lights on Space Mountain. This is something everyone needs to experience once. Although when you see that medieval torture chamber looking structure, riding it again is a bit more harrowing.

:scratchin... yeah, Wishes is ok... :rolleyes1

yeah for wishes being granted and seeing Space Mountain with the lights on - though it makes it seem that much scarier when you see how crammed in there all the tracks are. I watch a POV video on Youtube of the ride with the lights are and it is super scary!

and yeah for Wishes! Love your photos with the castle all lit up and the one Mickey balloon in front - perfect!

Very fun - Tell Steven I love his shirt (in fact I wear mine all the time - my students think i am a villain so it so works out and I LOVE HER!!)

Super cool light up at Space Mountain.

Off to the pre-trip report.

I love the video you made!

Ah your explanation of why Disney is pretty much perfect.

OMG space with the lightss on ! I would love to see that one day but I'd definitely be terrified to ride it after that. It looks like a death trap with lights on ! :rotfl2:

Ah the fireworks pictures are AMAZING! I wish i was there right now. :sad1:

I'm catching up on your trip report while working late tonight... thanks for keeping me from getting bored! :thumbsup2

Girlllllll, you don't even have to tell me why you go to Disney so much. IT'S THE BEST PLACE ON EARTH DANGIT! If others don't understand, it's their loss. ;)

I love that Steven wore an Ursula shirt to meet Ariel. :rotfl:

I need to try that Caprese Flatbread from PVH! It looks and sounds delicious! YUM!

OMG the picture you said was your favorite.... UM PERFECT!

Woo! I'm caught up and you're not to far in yet, that means there's still lots to come! I rode Space with the lights on once when I was a kid. It was unsettling, the tracks are super close together!

Lol and that is exactly why I love the dis!!

Ahahaha, it was perfect!! I've seen her in it a few times, she wears it for colder weather days, I've seen the shrug type thing (like Tiana has) as well, and sometimes both, guess it just depends on how cold it is out?

Yes! I was mildly terrified seeing it, definitely wouldnt want to ride it like that…maybe….

Right?! It was amazing timing for us!! UGH! I'll have to look that up! I think I'd keep my eyes shut the entire time!!

Yay! Thank you!!

Yay!! Lol, there is LOTS to come still!!

UGH! I would actually cry! Was there anyway of knowing before you got on?! Bahaha, My eyes would be so shut the entire time!

I don't ride SM at wdw anymore and that's one reason why. I seen it with the lights on. I do ride it at DL but i'm still scared.

******************************

For some reason, we headed back over to Fantasyland after the Main Street Electrical Parade finished. Maybe we decided it was too chilly to do Splash, or the wait time had gone up too much? Lol. Either way, we ended up checking back at Princess Fairytale Hall, and since the line was short, we jumped back in it to see Cinderella and Aurora again!

The interaction was good, and that’s all I have written down, and apparently am missing the pictures with Aurora, I know I wasn’t too picky when it came to me getting pictures on my phone/camera as Steven had his on his phone, plus the photopass, but we saw the princesses multiple times this trip, so really, it’s okay lol.

Being in Fantasyland, we noticed that the wait time for Enchanted Tales was super short, and after Steven & I’s less than stellar experience with it in Oct, we knew this would be the only time that we’d bother seeing it. We also got super excited and started to wonder what would happen if THERE WAS ONLY THE 3 OF US IN THERE?!?!

Turns out they have to have a minimum of like, 20 people to run the show….

We thought maybe we’d have to place all the parts and it would just be a crazy shenanigan of an event….Nothing like that happened. We went in anyways, and Steven was super worried about getting picked for a suit of armor until a group of young twenty something boys walked in, and all was safe!

Everything went as per normal, and our experience was a heck of a lot better than October, but we still really spent most of the time watching the cast members, and the suits of armor, especially since one of them was texting behind his “helmet” and missed a few of his queues, hilarity!

A snack was in order after all that hard work not acting we had just done, so we headed over to Storybook Circus, where I reminisced about the first time I’d met Amanda & had gotten super sugar high/food drunk off a cake pop from there and hoped I hadn’t scared her off….clearly I hadn’t…

You can’t really tell, but it’s an Apple Pie Candy Apple!! The cast member asked if I wanted it cut up, and I WENT FOR IT, SO MUCH EASIER TO EAT!! Seriously, thank you cm for doing that for me. It had cute little marshmallow Mickey ears, but it did get super squished in the packaging, whoops!

We browsed through the shops, maybe went on a a ride? I have no notes that we did, BUT, I know we decided it was nearly time to head out, it’d been a long day all around, after all, Amanda had been at an auditon that morning! So, Main Street was our last stop for the night!

I do REALLY enjoy a lot of the Christmas borders that they had for photopass, and honestly, photo quality wise, I was SERIOUSLY impressed with the pictures that turned out this go around. Sure, I was missing a few here & there, but didn’t care as much, and they were actually centered and not blurry lol!

Speaking of blurry not great quality photos, here’s the ones I took of the Christmas window displays!

I thought it was super cute how they told the story lol! Getting back to Pop was fine, I believe most of the crowds were wearing down by this point, so lines weren’t bad, thank goodness. However upon arrival at Pop, we came across a problem. After hiking all the way back to our “close to transportation” room, where Steven & I had been told our luggage would be waiting for us, we discovered it wasn.t

All we wanted to do was go to SLEEEEPPP SO TIRED!! But we couldn’t. I got on the phone with Bell Services, and it just rang, and rang, and rang. It was super late, so I hung up, and tried the front desk, and they simply connected me to bell services. #derp. I let it ring a few times, called BACK to the front desk, only for them to connect me again. Like, no, it’s not going to woooorrrrkkkk.

FINALLY, I called back and got a cast member to call over for me/go over for me, and eventually our luggage made our way up to our room. It really sucked as we couldn’t even really START to get ready for bed as ALL of our things were in the other luggage.

I also made a SUPER DERP, when I was all “remember that time I forgot pyjamas?” Yeah. “remember that time I bought some at Epcot this morning to sleep in tonight?” Oh yeah, I did do that! “REMEMBER THAT TIME I SENT THEM BACK TO THE RESORT GIFT SHOP AND THUS THEY WONT BE HERE UNTIL TOMORROW NIGHT?!?!!” #derp

Worst.

I pulled on some extra clothes I had and slept in that for the night #sigh.

ONE WEEK! How exciting! Looking forward to seeing your live updates

That's awesome yall didn't have to wait long for Enchanted Tales with Belle. It's something I definitely want to try in September. Do you think we should get a FP for it or just head straight there at rope drop?

Great pictures in front of the castle! I just love the Christmas lights... it makes it extra magical :goodvibes

ONE... WEEK... So Jealous. I can't wait until I get to say that again... someday...

Oooh that would be cool to be the only group in Enchanted Tales (if they actually did do a show). Oh the hilarity that would ensue.

Oh my, while I love getting castle photos at night, is there seriously anything better than with the dream lights on? I'm just in awe of every photo I see.

Haha, oh dear, not exactly the magical ending at Pop. At least you have your new PJ's to look forward to... :thumbsup2

So jealous that you're going back in a week! And excited to hear about it! One of the pharmacist's I work with is there now on her son's WISH trip and I really wanted to hide in her luggage! :rotfl:

LOVE the Main St castle photos && the Christmas borders! Eeep.

Omg that would be really hysterical to see them try to do ETWB without enough people!

I have to laugh at your pajama mishaps! :rotfl: It's literally exactly what would happen to me!

Yes!! Haha, I'm currently at Pop chilling after a park day lol!

Haha, yeah, its not something that we would be doing right off the bat, or really waiting long for, it's a cute thing to watch every so often though lol

Thanks!!!

Thanks!!

right?! hilarious!!

ahahahah yah, i derped pretty hard!

All three of us had seamlessly moved into one room over at Pop, and had no problems getting some great beauty sleep after a fun BONUS Disney day, and were up right when the alarm went off on Tuesday December 3rd! None of us were particularly hungry so we headed on right down to the bus stop as we had a very important date with ROPE DROP, and we were very excited!

I promise you, Amanda was there too, lol! And so were all the Christmas decorations, which I absolutely loved, Disney does decorating right!

From our last trip, Steven & I had made friends with a specific and amazing, friend of both Lady Tremaine, and Drizella, we knew that Drizella would be “feeling like herself” today but we weren’t quite sure about Lady Tremaine, so needless to say, we were in some GREAT ANTICIPATION as the the train came rolling down the track.

I think it’s safe to say that Steven & I both SHRIEKED with excitement and may or may not have flailed and jumped around a bit, which definitely caught her eye… Naturally, I spent the rest of the rope drop ceremony focused on the Tremaines.

Drizella certainly noticed us! And let me just say, those ladies seriously have the GREATEST expressions out of everyone!

Not to mention, if you mix them, and a little blue alien, there’s sure to be shenanigans!

Rope drop alone was enough to make my day!! We were super excited that we knew we’d be meeting some awesome characters today, and that was only the beginning!! The 3 of us made our way down Main Street while Steven & I made sure to catch Amanda up on the previous meet and greet with the Tremaines back in October (for those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, check it out here: _______) and of course, since I can now get Starbucks in Magic Kingdom, I stopped for breakfast!

Cupcake, chocolate and peanut butter, all of my favorite things combined into one! And a nice healthy breakfast! Bahaha. I’m pretty sure I also got a coffee and Steven got a tea. As we rounded the corner into Fantasyland, we talked about what to do first, as the Treamines wouldn’t be out for a little bit, and still had to ride the caroseul before they’d start their set, and imagine our surprise when we noticed that on Princess Fairytale Hall, it said THERE WAS A MYSTERY PRINCESS IN WITH CINDERELLA!!!!!

Obviously, with no wait, we jumped in line, we wanted to see this!!

Cinderella was meh, but hey, first thing in the morning we’re all a little groggy. Also, Steven & I did a royal couple for our Disneybound today, so bonus points to you if you can guess it before I tell you!!

And….drumroll please…..

Our MYSTERY PRINCESS WAAAAAASSSSSSSS…….

Yup….that’s no mystery princess…that’s Aurora right there… she was lovely though. She commented on my pink dress, saying that her fairies would love it! We thanked her, and exited through the dump shop, to find that the wait time was still super short, and with no one in line, we were able to stop and talk to the attendant at the front of the line. We quietly explained that we’d been in and had seen Aurora, but that the sign said there was a mystery princess, and maybe we had a chance of seeing someone different? Well, the cast member was amazing enough to let us check out all “sides” of the hall, and we discovered that it may have said “mystery” but there was no mystery at this time. BOO.

Mystery solved, I guess.
