Hello there!
This is my third dining report, and I'm hoping to actually finish it. My last two I kind of petered out.

Here are the details:

There were 12 of us altogether.
Me--34, coplanner of the trip, Disney obsessed, mother, lover of all thing food minus seafood. I especially love dessert!

E--38, hubby, didn't pack a thing until the day before we left...he's the "nonplanner," doesn't really care what he eats. Totally NOT a foodie like me :confused3

D--5, dd, second trip to Disney (after free dining last year, once we came home, she expected dessert after every meal when we went out to eat...)

K--3, turned 3 a week before we left on this trip, dd, doesn't eat a huge variety of foods, and rarely eats meat.

W--sil, 40

N--bil, 38, loves to eat at nice restaurants

A--niece, 10, not picky at all, will eat pretty much anything

R--nephew, 4, doesn't eat very much at dinner time

L--mil, 60 something

B--fil, coplanner of the trip, doesn't eat cheese, onions, he's pretty much a meat and potatoes kind of guy

Bret--bil, 34

Nat--sil, 30? They just got married in June.

My immediate family's trip was Dec. 27-Jan. 5th. Although some other family members left earlier and stayed a little longer.

Here are the places I will be reviewing:
TABLE SERVICE
Hoop Dee Doo
Chef Mickey's
Ohana
50s PTC
Le Cellier
Chefs de France
Biergarten

COUNTER SERVICE
Contempo Cafe
Columbia Harbour House
Columbia Harbour House
Columbia Harbour House (yes we ate here 3 times!)
POP
Pizzafari
Pizza Planet
Pecos Bill

OTHER
Grand 1 Yacht

I'm sure I'm forgetting several others but will add them once I finish uploading my pictures!

Also...we did a split stay at the Contemporary and then POP and were not on the dining plan the whole time. There will be pictures of various people's meals, but since we were such a big group I didn't always get everything! Also, we dined alone a few times.

To make a long story short, we had to change our flight because of the big storm heading for Philly. So we ended up arriving in Orlando at 8:30 a.m. instead of 1 p.m.! This was great because it really gave us an extra day in the parks.

First stop though after checking into the Contemporary was the Contempo Cafe. The way this counter service is set up...if you are getting a meal (not from the grab and go section), you order on a computer screen. You then go pay and are given a pager. When your pager goes off, you go back up to the counter area to pick up your meal.

I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. This was okay but I didn't need to order another one. It needed salt or something and I didn't love the bread. It was huge though and fed both dh and I. My dh got one later in the trip though, so he must've liked it!

This is my absolute FAVORITE counter service in all of Disney! I love, love, love it!

For this meal we ordered 2 meals--Tuna Sandwich (Anchors Away I think?), with fries instead of chips, and a large diet coke. Now, let me tell you, on the dining plan, if you don't say LARGE, they will give you the smaller size. My whole family didn't realize this until we all ate a meal together and they asked me why my drink was so big. For dessert I got the FANTASTIC Apple thing. We also got the fish and chicken with apples and for dessert a yogurt. Also another large apple juice. All of this cost 2 counter service credits on the meal plan.

I LOVE this tuna sandwich! (and I am picky about my tuna. I like just the right amount of mayo.) It comes on lightly toasted bread with lettuce and tomato. Hubby ate the fish and chicken and he ate it all so I guess it was good! The warm apple thing...WONDERFUL! It was warm, and soft and oh so good.

Subscribing!!
We have a very similar trip in Sept. There are 15 of us going ranging from almost 5 years old up to 65 with 30 something year old parents of the kiddies!

Your apple dessert looks awesome......Maybe this is a place to go and try out instead of Cosmic Rays on the other side of the park....
Thanks for the photo and review

Thanks for joining in everyone!
Next up is Ohana.
I could not wait to go back here! We went last year and I thought the food was REALLY good.

We'll start with the Lapu drink. I showed DH some pictures before we went, and I knew he would get one because he loves pineapple! He said it was good, and I snagged a sip too. It was tasty.

Here are the noodles and the veggies. I really liked both of these. The kids all loved the noodles.

Here you can see the 3 sauces (I forget what they were, but I loved the brown one at the top...it was Teriyaki-ish), as well as the dumplings and the wings which were gone in a heartbeat. I remember loving the wings last year, and this year they were just ok. Not sure what was different, but I LOVED the dumplings!

Apparently I forgot to take pictures of the dessert and the meat!

I had some steak, which was cooked perfectly for me-medium, and really good with that brown sauce. And some chicken which also was good. DH had a ton of shrimp and said it was very good.

The dessert was also very good.

After this meal I was SO STUFFED! I had to go back to the room, and while everyone else went to sleep, I spent about a half hour walking around the halls at the Contemporary!

Overall everyone had a good time and really enjoyed this meal. I would definitely come here again to eat.

I'm in! We ate at O'Hana in December too and it was our favorite meal. Looking at the pictures makes me hungry for that delicious food.

Joining in. I really like columbia harbour house too. next time i go i want to try the apple thing, looks good!

great reviews. We will be there next week and I can't wait to try Columbia Harbour House, I've read so many yummy reviews about it.

Enjoying the reviews so far! That tuna sandwhich is on my to do list when we go in March...along with that apple dessert ;)
