I am using a product that is similiar by Loreal. It was about $12.00.
Just thought I'd let everyone know. Can't give a comparison because I've never used the more expensive brand, but I really like the Loreal product.
More info on their website or google it. :)

Can anyone who has tried both the expensive and inexpensive brands tell us how they compare? Can you apply it correctly without a video or salesperson to show you how? Do they both last all day?

I'm trying out Physicians Formula mineral powder. It's a compact with a flat brush. I saw the L'Oreal product after I decided on the PF, which I was buying with a buy one get one 50% off coupon. I like the coverage but I don't like the mess and waste I have with the pressed powder. I think I would prefer the loose types with the lid.

Has anyone tried the HSN mineral makeup from Serious Skin Care, the Bella Rose line? I saw it last night for the first time. What about Sheer Cover? Any comparisons?

Nutregeana makes one as well. I haven't tried it yet but plan to as soon as I need foundation again.

It is the greatest beauty website in the world. It has product reviews of every beauty product about known to man. From hairdyers to foundation, i look up everything before i buy it. It also has some great message boards, devoted to all seperate aspects of beauty. There is a skin care board, makeup board, hair board, bath board, perfume board its crazy, but you can get anyquestion you want answered there!
Check it out!

I use BM...I really love it. I am not a makeup snob, I did try PF compact foundation but IMO there is no comparison. The brush is wierd, you can't really "buff" it on..its more like a regular powder compact to me.

The thing I don't like about the drug store brands like PF and Loreal, etc is they only have one or two products that are minerals..that kinda defeats the purpose of using it.

My favorite products are the foundation, mineral veil, all over colors like glee, and bisque. Also the brushes make all the difference.

I would be MORE than willing to spend less on the other brands if they would come out with a whole mineral line like BM has. :)

They're my favorite brand for mineral makeup. I like theirs better than BM and it's cheaper, too. You can try a big kit of free samples for $3 shipping by going to http://www.everydayminerals.com/shop/prod_80.html

Thank you so much for the link to free samples of this product! I chose a sample for myself and for DD to try.

Thanks for this website. Lots of help by knowing what others think of these types of products.

I started out using Sheer Cover and liked it, but if I remember right you can only get it on autoship. That is why I like Bare Minerals so much, it is so much easier to buy since you can get it at Ulta.

I think that is the only reason holding my back from trying the Everyday Minerals. I like being able to walk into a store to buy my products and not having to wait for them to ship.

You can buy Bare Minerals at Sephora.

Honestly, BM is not that expensive. I got the entire kit for $60, and that includes brushes. The brushes are really nice, and worth the expense of the kit alone, IMO. This is the only make up that I have found that I can wear. I use the lightest foundation that they make, and it is a perfect match for my skin color. I have never found a brand of make up that makes foundation light enough for me except BM.

I second the previous poster about the Everday Minerals. To me, this stuff is the exact same thing as Bare Minerals only cheaper. They also come in matte, semi-matte, and original glo whereas Bare Minerals only has the one formula.
